Trent signed with Toronto.

All the competent front offices have signed several players

Definitely not buying this.

I'd bet we could have gotten more than a backup PG and a 2nd round pick.

I have no doubt Rich Paul was leaking behind the scenes to teams that Lonzo was only interested in certain teams come this offseason. If Im a team not on his list, I’m not giving up real assets to get him.

The problem is most of those guys are likely downgrades in terms of roster needs. This just reeks of grasping for mediocrity out of desperation by Griffin.

Frankly I think even if I were to argue that I think there were very realistic paths to making this FA a net improvement, most of those pathways are quickly closing.

Would have loved to get either Jamychal Green or Jeff Green as role players, but both signed with Denver. Dinwiddie looks like he is going to Washington. Bobby Portis resigned with Mil on a deal we should have been able to beat. Cam Payne is back to Phoenix.

And given we haven't been able to close the deal on anyone so far I imagine it is coming down to overpaying Spencer and if we strike out there it could get ugly real fast.

This is hilarious. Now our best option is giving a massive contract to Dinwiddie.

Atleast we got a 2nd for Lonzo. Griff can turn that into cash real quick.

I don't get why we didn't take a run at players like cam payne and both greens.

Patty mills.
Caruso
McDermott
Derrick rose

Our best long-term option is probably to cut our loses and go get some combo of Reggie Jackson, Otto Porter Jr. Malik Monk, or Patty Mills and hope they punch way above their current market value.

And here it is.

Signing a good player like Dinwiddie wouldn’t make you happy.

So in reality, nothing would. You just want to bitch.

They get Dinwiddie, or even Powell for me, and they won this offseason. But a few more strikeouts and you have to seriously worry about the team’s direction.
