if he does, it's next year. if he's 100% healed, and he'd be almost 30. he must be wanting to take a nice cut

He doesn't want to play for Donald Sterling? NO WAY!!!

Read it earlier. Huge reach. I don't think I want him back.
I was One of the few people who said LAC would not put him in a much better situation that what he had here going forward. He took the easy way out; I see him as a traitor. Don't run back here when things are looking up. Weak shite

While I am mad that he wanted out, he is a top 5 PG and would welcome him back if he wanted to come back. We need to accept the fact that CP3 as our PG would be an upgrade over any one we will have in the next year or two. CP3 + Gordon + Davis + 2012 #10 + solid bench fillers = a top Western Conference team

I (currently) hate floppin CP3 as much as anyone. However, if any of you think you would still hate him if he came back and we owned the NBA, you're kidding yourself.

pretty much how i see it for the most part.
I like the direction we are headed.

I know some people feel this way, and everyone is entitled to their opinion. But, you have to admit, the franchise was in disarray when CP3 left. He took a shot. I don't know. For some reason, I'm not that upset about it.

I don't really have a problem with him coming back personally, but I don't think he would be a very good decision for our team. An aging PG with knee problems that was a pretty frequent no show? Don't know about that, although he would certainly be the biggest star out there that would be willing to come here, and if he stayed healthy, CP/Gordon/Davis would be an awesome trio. Thing is, I don't know if it will be better than CP/West/TC were, especially when CP starts declining.
I guess I'll say: if Davis is who we think he'll be, the 10th pick looks like a badass at the 2-5, and we think CP could put us over the top, then go for it. If not (or especially if we draft a PG), then no.

More like one of many, a bunch of hornets fans were saying the same thing.

It was in disarray but it was all in the process if being sorted out. If he liked Monty and Dell as much as people believe, he could have waited it out. You know deep down inside he wanted out; that's what all his buddies had done. He was feeling left out.

There's probably some truth to that. Doesn't really bother me that much.

I look at Chris as a potentially valuable future acquisition, but I hold him today in no special light, one way or the other.

That's not New Oreleans and it's not my beloved Clippers.

just thinkin about how LA traded away most of their future to us only to have CP leave after two seasons. We robbed them in that trade

Posted on 6/10/12 at 8:34 pm to TigerTatorTots
ya, it's two reasons...
i don't want him because he left. he was a traitor, and he can't come back. He can't play for us when things are good, and leave when things are bad. that's shitty.
and i definitely don't want to give a 6', 30 year old PG with knee problems a max contract. I don't think he's as good as he was a few years ago, and he will only continue to decline

I think it's way more likely than 1.8%. I'd say closer to 15%
People told me to STFU about it though.
I will say that our fans should cheer him (ala Knicks fans with LeBron) next season at the Hive rather than boo him like this past season.

So I guess you hate Joe Horn and Bobby Hebert? Because they were both far more egregious in their dealings with the Saints IMO.
CP3 would be the first New Orleans Hornet in the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame. I'd welcome him back with open arms.
