It’s great he was averaging 27 a game, but he was still fat and out of shape. We didn’t draft him 1 to average 27 a game for random 6-8 game stretches. We drafted him to be a leader, face of the franchise, a good offensive player and a good defensive player. The only thing he’s really delivered on for the most part is being a good offensive player, when he’s occasionally healthy.

Yeah where was SAS then? Never heard any specific quotes or inside information that he eats the table then despite averaging 27 a game. SAS only pops up with these so called “quotes” when it suits his narrative.

Zion was playing his best of the season in the 6-8 games prior and was averaging like 27 points or something in those games.

You are what you can consistently do.

Zion is statistically and noticeably a lesser player than he was in year 2.

The team with Zion on the court is as bad as they've ever been, and statistically better when he's off the court.

nail on the head...

for a guy that is a physically dominant and big as him, playing PF, he should be grabbing at least 10 reb/gam... he's averaging less than 6.... he should be at about a block a game... he's averaging 0.3/game...

those 2 stats, more than any other traditional stats are directly a result of effort...

Lebron, like him or hate him, is a fricking leader... if we could even get 1/4 of the effort from Zion that Lebron gives the Lakers, that'd be great... but Zion has no interest in doing anything other than what he wants to do, and right now, that doesn't include getting in shape, nor getting better on the court

you act like he's the only one saying this

Zion is getting called out by EVERYBODY, including Barkley and Shaq... and they are actually sympathetic towards Zion, so let's not act like this is something novel by only SAS

Yeah go read my other posts on this thread.

I agree with constructive criticism by Chuck and Shaq. SAS supposed quotes of eating the table and then saying his belly is hanging out is not constructive criticism its just wild takes to get clicks. SAS is not being sympathetic at all unlike the others, hes just putting out clickbait bullshite like he always does.

Same SAS that said Lonzo couldn’t stand up according to a reliable source?

Look I want Zion to get in better shape as much as everyone else, but this kinda bullshite from SAS doesn’t deserve a platform

I believe SAS just by looking at Zion and how he's somehow steadily gaining weight and can't sprint up and down the floor. NOLA Chefs probably are smiling from ear to ear when he walks in and sit down to eat.

Maybe now that Stephen A is on it some of the hard headed dimwits on here will realize we missed our window. 2 years ago we could have had big time results on a trade for him…now we would be lucky to get a couple draft picks.

We're a ways away from 1 game solving this issue.

You sound like a fan being a bitch. You are requiring sympathy from a journalist known for hot takes regarding our star player having weight issues at an age never seen before in the nba.

What does that solve, other than making his effort in the last few games that much more idiotic on his part?

You sound like middle schooler who can’t argue so he says “bitch” to everything. Sorry you got held back in school and Zion is out of shape but its ok. Have fun watching the game “bitch”- since this is the only language you understand.

By the way I’m not requiring anything but the fact you’re defending SAS takes is a fricking joke. Only morons take what he says seriously. My only point was SAS is clickbaiting- everyone else has constructive criticism.

You keep repeating this pretend reality. Me calling you a bitch was constructive criticism. Use it.

Its ok man you’ll graduate high school. No shame in being 25 and in tenth grade. I really want you to succeed but you need to apply yourself.

- Thats constructive criticism. Expand your vocabulary beyond the word bitch.

With as many calories he burns in a normal day (during basketball season), Id imagine he needs to eat like 3,500-4,000 calories at his weight without gaining weight. 4,000 might be high, but you get my point.

He needs to be cutting weight during offseason for fricking once.

I mean dude you have to start somewhere. If he has a good game tonight, shows effort on both ends and wins- it’s something. Can’t completely dismiss it. The hope is he consistently does this while losing weight and getting shape. But this game is big for him personally in the way he responds.

Smith has sources everywhere. He is on tv and radio many hours a day, has been for many years. If he was fabricating stories, then Zion could have him fired and possibly sue him for slander. So I'm sure there is some element of truth to it. Of course he is embellishing for the sake of entertainment.

Do you have sources that would contradict to prove Smith a liar?

Several players have stated he has lied before. He doesn’t list his sources so we have no way of confirming it. NBA players do not sue clickbait NBA reporters for slander. Yes the element of truth is hes out of shape but eating a table or chefs looking for him- come on man. If you’re gonna quote something like he did you better then say where its coming from.

Being on radio and tv for many hours does not mean you’re a honorable good reporter lol. Its crazy that people take that idiot seriously.

Edit: Just saw who I’m replying to. Makes complete sense that you believe what SAS says.
