Even with an unprotected first,
a) I don’t like that deal as much as NYK or Boston
b) that deal can still be made after the season,
c) that deal should be made after the draft order is established.

You don't get to offload Solo with the returning expiring contracts if you wait till the offseason.

This is like when someone in your FF league offers a couple of good players mixed with a bunch of meh to try to land a stud.
Magic needs to get off his arse, move his own good/meh pieces, and get something the Pels see worth trading for. WTF is the point of offering the Pels his whole crappy roster and saying “Look at all this shite I’m giving you, someone will gladly take them off your hands for something better. You could turn a real profit.” It’s like saying I’ll trade you 1 five star meal for these 10 gift certificates to Piccadilly.

Until the deadline passes, and nothing has happened, this will be the norm. A new offer, rumors on who likes what, leaks from players, and then nothing. After the deadline we'll have a period of bitching from the Lakers' fans calling the Pelicans petty and a shite organization etc etc. All that being said, here I sit wearing out F5.
