Exactly. I don't understand people and teams that want to be the warriors. You cant be the warriors unless you have 3 of the greatest shooters of all time. I'd rather go against the grain and have solid versatile bigs that harp on their weakness. I think Davis and Cousins can win their matchup nearly every night. If Jrue and Rondo step up and this team jells defensively this team can make the second round maybe better

Answer me this. What the hell else does Kyrie do besides score?

I've never seen a player more overrated. People act like he's top 10, he's not even top 20 of I'm ranking guys. Funny how Lebron misses games and Cleveland looks like shite with Kyrie running the show. Oh, I wonder why.

This was another rumor(take with salt though)during draft time so theres smoke

This one was basically:

Kyrie to PHX
Bledsoe/PG13 to CLE
#4 pick(via Phx) to indy

Ive heard that was talked about heavily and the only reason it didnt go through was because Indy wanted more for PG.

I haven't read the whole thread, but even if we cant get Irving, Demps could still try to get in on a 3 team trade to either dump players/contracts or add a shooter.

I was just thinking that. The closest we got to dumping Asik was trying to get into the Melo deal.

If our team had great or even good offense, then I'd see your point.

But isn't most of our issue that we get little offensive production consistency outside of AD or Cousins?

I'm not even advocating for getting him because we can't get him. Or even how he'd fit into the roster because we can't trade Jrue. But he'd absolutely help. And is a top 20 guy. Plus he has championship experience. An invaluable trait. Also he's a 40% 3pt shooter.

He defends like ripe arse, but he's not overrated.

We cannot guard curry, Durant, klay

To be fair the Warriors don't have anyone to even slow down Davis or Cousins. I think Curry and Klay can be frustrated. Durant would just get his.

I don't see the point in trading Boogie for Irving. I think teams need to stop trying to be the Warriors, because that won't happen. Istead a coach and front office need to be innovative and find a way to beat them some how. I think we have the perfect set up with 2 of the best big men in the league, it just takes an innovative mind to figure out how to do it.

I think all sports are cyclic, and teams winning with big men in the NBA will happen again

I would think it would have to involve Jrue and numerous 1sr round picks, and he can't be traded for a while I think

This team doesn't need 3 point guards. Rondo and Jrue can't be traded till December and the Cavs aren't going to have the toxic environment where Irving and Lebron play together 2 months.

Why when there is a star available every people are throwing million trade ideas?

Understand buying low.
But:
1. Only tradable items for CLE might be maybe DMC and picks. LBJ is not intersted in picks. And CLE will need point guard (Bledsoe f.e.).
2. We cannot trade Rondo and Jrue for 5 months. And Kyrie plays this position.
Also Rondo signed to start.

Also we won't have money for good starting Center (if we trade DMC )
Remember? Our All Star player is not happy playin center.

Also Kyrie is SG in PG body. And can't defend.
And people are throwing multiple future picks. When all this might fail. Like in BRK.

Maybe before Jrue extension you might have thought about S&T.
But now? Hell no.

We might offer to be a part of 4team trade. But that is all...

I'm nearly certain that AD would be guarding him in crunch time if not the whole game. AD is an underrated defender against 3s & 4s.

irving/holiday/davis is a far better fit for todays NBA than holiday/davis/cousins. and much more fun to watch

while definitely true, i'd have some mixed feelings

im not a big Kyrie fan at all. respect his tremendous talent/skills, but i just dont like watching him play + the earth isnt flat. i also am just intrigued by Davis/Cousins. high chance it never clicks, but i am curious to watch it unfold.

some good Pellies talk on latest Lowe Post w/ Russillo... LINK

cliffs:

Lowe thinks they are in 11 team west playoff mix

Russillo doesnt trust Cousins to hold it together. hopes he does, but is in prove it mode w/ Boogie

Lowe is very interested and fascinated b/c Pellies are a team no one has a read on.

he isnt quite sure what they are doing after signing Holiday and Rondo.

recall to earlier discussion on the Cavs and their summer- question why the Pels didnt try to find some cheaper guys on the wing to give them something

both wish Moore was about 3 inches taller b/c the Pels have 0 wings.

both like Hill, but not the $$

both talk about April NBA and not reading too much into those games

once again, reasonable skepticism because of boogies track record, the very unwieldy roster construction, zero options to pivot if things go south, and also unsaid but I think relevant a lack of excitement about what the coaching staff has to offer. we've seen a lot of "what are the mavs doing" for example, but always followed by "but carlisle will figure it out"...not so much with gentry

this team is on a tightrope with out a safety net, and since they haven't done it before together or separately, fear that it is just as likely that they tumble off
