What do we know now?

30 out of 30 NBA teams would still take Zion over Ja

If we picked Ja, we'd still be where we are and Memphis would still be where they are with Zion.

We don't suck right now because of Zion, we suck because our organization can't ever get out of its own way.

Is that even a question? Don’t get me wrong Ja is a fine young point guard but he’s not in Zion’s universe as far as the ability to dominate by himself.

Damn, remember at the beginning of the year when people were saying they'd prefer Ja? Clown show on this board.

Zion and Ingram are better than ja and brooks.

The issue is Kyle Anderson, Jonas valanciunas, and Clarke/jjj are better than Bledsoe, Adams, and zo.

If we didn't lose all our players to end the year, we'd have bounced San Antonio for the last play in spot. To think ja is better than zion is asinine.

Zion 100%!!!! But I kept saying at the time to pick Zion first and do whatever it took to pick 2nd and get Ja!!! I still think that regardless what it would have taken to do this….was 100% worth it. Wouldn’t of had Bledsoe or Adams deals that were trying so hard to get rid of now….

Edit: 100% Broski

Memphis wasn't listening to offers for the #2 pick. They were all in on Ja and rightfully so.

Weird way the question is posed.

Zion had only widened the gap between him and Ja immensely these past 2 seasons.

There was nothing we could have done to get that pick.

This is the easiest question on the board.

It's not even close. Zion. All day.

He has barely scratched the surface and he's one of the elite efficient scorers in the league. He can distribute and will improve at that. He's dominated his "bad" matchups. It's kinda silly that people think Ja, who is mathematically worse in every advanced metric, is as good as Zion is now or will be. Unless. Ja turns into a 40% 3pt shooter with volume he won't touch Zions ceiling.

27 ppg on 60% fg. That is nuts for a 20 year old. fricking nuts. This dude is also crossing fools from 20+ ft out at 270. It's not even fair.

I also said this exact thing. But still taking Zion every single time. I was also a lot higher on Tatum than Ingram. Thinking maybe we should have taken him and whatever else was offered instead of the Lakers package. Just hoping Lebron and his booty Buddy fall apart sooner rather than later.

Tatum was never on the table though and Memphis wasn’t going to trade the second pick.

When is the GM ever going to be accountable? You would think people making millions a year would be competent.
