The biggest difference is that the Grizzlies have 4 players who shot over .390 from 3 and while taking 3-5 shot a game.
We only have 2 players averaging over .400 and 1 of them is Hayes who averaged .1/.2 a game (rounded up his average is .429) and wry an Gabriel who is 0.6/1.5 which means he went 13/32 on the season.
If you’re building a team around a guy who maybe isn’t the best shooter you have to put shooters around him.
Giannis has improved a lot on his 3 point shooting but what makes that team go is that they have 7 guys shooting over .390 while averaging at least 1.6 3PA a game.
They have 9 guys shooting over 390 and we have 5 guys shooting over .350.
Bro, dont expect this board to actually want to talk real basketball.
Been saying this all season, JJ went haywire, and so did our three shooting.
The fact that we won 31 games with Zion sitting for the last few is amazing considering we finished the season as a terrible 3 shooting team with Lonzo Ball as our best 3 shooter.

point zion changed all that for now. still cant do a simple jumper from 8 to 18 feet. pels and zion missed out on playin and playoffs.
would have chrystallized for zion if playoff teams would allow drives or instead pick him up at halfcourt and force pass.
Incorrect. Zion was setting the league on fire way before he ever assumed ball handling duties.
It just so happens that this board, and some of its well known posters were shitting all over Zion, even though he came out averaging 24 a game to start the year. Many of the attacks were similar to this one - you saying he cant shoot. Some called him fat and compared him to fat players (SFP and co.). FYI he hasnt shot it much but to start he’s at 33% from 3 and 68% from free throws. Which means he can shoot.
Very shortly after those anti Zion posts the NBA began to recognize Zions greatness and annouced that Zion had outscored everyone stastically to start his career, since MJ.

The morons on this board still tried to proclaim the merit to their arguments attacking Zion. And denied the degree of their Zion attacks.
Then Point Zion erupted and his acclaim got even more intense across the leage and he made the Allstar team.
And then folks started saying point Zion “changed everything” as their excuse.
And it was hilarious, and still is.
Edit: youre stupid as frick if you think Zion is to blame for us missing the playoffs.
Zion lead us to 31 wins. Steph lead his garbage team to 39.
Folks dogging out Zion for not making the playoffs are clueless.

mediocre.
and no hes not to blame that the team defense was meh but his defense is meh too.
the young players hayes and naw improved. they still would not start for any 7 to 10 playin teams, no less teams in 2nd round.
its worthy of note that the pels were pretty good until "crunch time".
that's why missing the playin and playoffs is a big deal.
memphis got gswept by #1 Utah after mitchell returned. memphis led or was tied late in a couple of the Ls. Utah made no mistakes with game on the line. memphis made late game errors in the two close losses.
2 or 3 in a row.
did memphis players learn from those mistakes? I doubt it. morant and Brooks both were careless or just fools.
did Memphis gm learn who to move and who to let walk ?
probably.
