His argument isn't terrible though. It's basically New Orleans has a bad reputation which is true. People are trying to argue that the reputation doesn't match the facts, but until the reputation changes it's just too easy for people to ignore the facts.

What reputation? They're a middling team in the NBA and attendance reflects that.
