Crazy how out of their way NBA players go to say they love Jrue.

It makes me think more that they won't trade him until the trade deadline, if at all.

He's one of those culture guys that Griffin talks about, and unless you're getting an absolute haul, it kind of looks bad to trade guys like that.

I personally think we should, but I don't think Griff will until the season at this point.

I agree.

Culture-wise, thats not the type of trade we can afford to make. The young guys on the team were literally wearing Jrue's jersey to games. You have to get a HAUL to preach what we're trying to preach, then trade one of the most respected players in the league. Good luck selling those guys on Gary Harris.

Yeah it would have to be an insane offer that makes fans of other teams go nuclear in their melt.

I think we are more likely to attempt an extension than a trade at this point. I personally feel this is the wrong call but I understand it.

I love Jrue on this team and hope he stays. He's the only consistent lock down defender we have.

Absolutely NOT there’s no trade you get same value back or show fans & season tix holders you committed to winning next year by trading him.

Good grief! This board is so bipolar. A week ago, we had multiple threads where everyone was trading Jrue and we were trying to figure out if Golden State or Brooklyn was likely going to be the better deal, and then we had a separate thread about trading him to teams other than Golden State or Brooklyn, and everyone had a theory about where else we could send him.

Yesterday, he wins and award, and all of a sudden, he's untouchable. It's just unreal how fickle y'all are.

Or you're reading it wrong. Most people aren't saying they wouldn't trade him to Brooklyn.

They are doubting that Griffin will trade him. Big difference.

Jrue needs to be on this team. Trade Lonzo please.

Jrue, Ingram, Zion, JJ are a contender core if they stay healthy

Love Jrue, but if you're looking at an MPJ level return, you pull that trigger every time.

If the team isn't prepared to offer Jrue a near max, 4 year deal (again, favorite personality in the league but I wouldn't), you have to move him now if there are legitimate offers on the table. Someone will offer him big money next year.

I think it will depend on the offers. If someone like Denver is ready to pony up to try to get over the hump, it's a win/win. Jrue gets to go compete for a title. Team gets an all star level prospect that fits in with Zion/Ingram's timetable more.

I just don't think anyone right now has any clue on his trade value, so it's just hard to know.

You don't move him to move him though. That's ridiculous.

THat's how i feel.

Jrue and Lonzo should not be on the court together.

I would pull the trigger immediately if GSW offered #2 and Minny's next year pick, but other than that, i really have no problem at all turning down offers and keeping him long term.
Jrue has no problem letting BI and Zion take all the limelight, and every now and then he'll have a game where he will score 25 and win the game by himself easily, while the rest of the games we play will rely heavily on BI and Zion's play on if we win or not.

I'd really like to see a trade of Lonzo to the Kings for Barnes.
Jrue/BI/Barnes/Zion is a really good start. work on developing your young players at the PG and 5 positions, and get some help in FA, like DJ Augustin and/or Meyers Leonard.

I think its really hard to know what Jrue wants honestly. In one hand he has future beasts in BI and Zion. In another hand he can go wherever he'd like to and try to win a championship. I really don't think he takes a max contract from a mediocre team > staying with the Pels for less. I do believe that our FO and Jrue will have a money talk and aspirations for the near future. I also think that our FO would discuss any potential suitors with Jrue.
