Around the facility, Jrue Holiday said the Pelicans have different vibe under David Griffin.

Also, after a couple of days being back in New Orleans, Holiday said “you can feel that we're going to be tough to deal with.”

heres the quote from jrue in lopez' first ESPN article
quote:

"I feel like the whole vibe, the whole attitude in the facility and with the staff has just been different," Holiday told ESPN by phone on Tuesday. "It definitely feels like people are ready and excited. It's been like that ever since Griff has come into place."

quote:

"Everybody has the same mentality," Holiday said. "You can feel that we're going to be tough to deal with. We're kind of a younger group. But we can get after it every night."

He's spent the past two days with nearly the entire team for voluntary workouts -- guard JJ Redick is expected to join the team tomorrow to complete perfect attendance -- and has been impressed with the new faces.

its 2 weeks before training camp, and everyone is already here (by tomorrow). and redick is a legendary workout fiend

Works for me. It appears that you have the need to try again.

I spoke to Alvin Gentry today and he said all 20 of the Pelicans training camp roster is already at the team’s facility for voluntary workouts.

It’s the first time he can remember anything like it in NO.

“It definitely speaks to the energy and anticipation around here.”

turnout should be really good for the open practice. Would be amazing if we can get 10K+ in for it.

I really hope Jrue gets to play some more meaningful basketball and retires a Pelican. One of my fav non Blazers.

The league could use more guys like him.

we are a flawed team, esp in the neo-NBA, BUT we're going to be an absolute buzz saw most nights

the D and transition/break offense is going to frick some people up

He was also on the Lowe Post pod last week. I'm not sure when it was recorded, but he mentioned that he had been down to New Orleans twice already, and had met everyone from the team other than Favors (I guess they just missed each other with their schedule or something). He also mentioned that he doesn't care whether he starts or not, and that he was supposed to come off of the bench behind Fultz in Philly and he didn't really care. He just wants what's best for the team. Definitely the kinda guy that you want in the locker room.
