Jose put a dude in the spin cycle and bopped a huge fricking 3 and had another 3.

8 4th quarter points. 8 more than zion will ever score in a finals

+11 in 16 minutes. I don't care about his size issues, all he does is win his minutes. And a lot of people thought he wouldn't see important postseason minutes.

Nonsense, some on this board said he would be an afterthought on a contender.

Jose would’ve needed to score more than 8 points for us win a regular season game. So I don’t get the hoopla.

That was the greatest non Pels game of my life watching Jose have that 4th quarter. Greatest comeback ever and he was a huge spark. He just became a New York legend overnight. Who could even care about trading him now? That was the stuff every kid dreams of and he deserved every bit of it.

So you wanted him to stay with this franchise?

I suspect/hope that the Pels traded him as a favor + as a path to getting Fears more playing time, and didn't do it with the expectation of improving. We didn't get anything of legit value back, and he was a winning player + fan favorite.

Murray does have some of that "dawg" in him. Not as much as Jose, but enough to be a really good mentor to Fears. And DJM's value was really low coming off the injury, so I get why they traded Jose instead. But as my 95 years young gamgam says when she wants to destroy me, "I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed."

Jose would have been doing what last night as a pelican on an opt out year deal?

Jose deserved this, just like Jrue deserved what we gave him.

There was never a "trading Jose instead of DJ" situation. Jose was always getting trade and DJ was never getting traded. Our FO never asked themselves "do we keep Jose > DJ" or "Should we keep Jose > DJ".

It was always "where are we trading Jose to".

Nope, he's the reason they are contending and about to win a championship. Move out the way OG, Brunson, Hart, Kat, Bridges, M Robinson. Jose is the superstar. I'd love to see those guys pick up 5 fouls in 16 minutes, they could never get on his level.

I'm happy for the dude but damn y'all need to chill.

We did Jose a solid and sent him home to a contending team. I'm sure they could have gotten a better pick somewhere else. I can't be mad at that.

The Pels (with Jose before he was traded) had/have the best collection of role players (Trey, Herb, Jose, Bey, DM) to go alongside a stud superstar..only problem is they actually think Zion is that dude.

I cannot say this enough..he ain’t it. And until they realize that, they’re spinning their wheels and literally trading very nice core pieces for random picks to hopefully hit on again. You honestly think the Pels can/will get lucky enough to draft a Herb Jones in the 2nd round?! Or a Trey Murphy in the teens?! Not a chance.
