Jonas needs to make 300 threes a workout this summer.
... I'd suggest a lot of ladder drills also. Get them puppies (feet) activated.

Btw if you weren’t retarded enough for wanting to trade BI. What stops Charlotte from taking Scoot at 2? Did that never cross your mind buddy?

You simply execute the trade if Scoot is available on Draft Day, or are you too retarded to have figured that out?

You rarely make these kind of trades before the draft. The trade we made with Memphis for JV is still kind of surprising because Memphis seemed to know before the trade that they needed to move up further from 10 to get their target, Giddey, and they just weren't able to.
I don't think this trade is as crazy as you're thinking. It may not be the best path forward, but it seems like a reasonable path forward. If BI/Zion don't work out, this may be the point in time we look back at and say "we should have traded for 3" like in hindsight the biggest way to change the AD era would have been the Hornicans trading up from 10 to 8 and taking Drummond instead of Rivers.

A lot here are Jonas haters but this guy clearly wants to be a Pel (something a lot of guys don’t because it’s not a big market). He’s also a damn good starting C on a reasonable contract that is a double double machine with a nice all around offensive game. I would out money that Jonas would be willing to sign a team friendly extension that gives the team a little extra money to play with but also secures his future for the next few years which are probably his last 2-3 years to make solid money. Hopefully he and the team can figure out a deal that works for both parties.

I think JV would be willing to entertain a team friendly contract:
1. His wife and kids had a comfy life in Toronto, then in a span of a few years they have moved to Memphis and now NOLA. This frequent moving is VERY disruptive to family life, especially for the kids (new schools, new friends, etc).
2. I estimate that JV has made $100 million or more (before taxes) in his career. If he invested his net earnings wisely (I'm sure he has), then he's already set for life financially. So now I believe that his family's happiness (i.e. staying in NOLA and not uprooting them AGAIN) is more important than chasing a few more bucks from the next highest bidder of his services.
3. He missed out on a ring when Toronto traded him to Memphis. I'm sure he still wants one to top off his career. If BI and Z can stay healthy, he has an excellent chance of that happening in NOLA.
4. He has said in numerous interviews that he would LOVE to stay in NOLA if they would have him. I think he really likes the city and the family culture in the Pels organization.
I think if the Pels offered him an extension that worked out to maybe $10-12 mill/year, HE WOULD TAKE IT IN A HEARTBEAT.

If he takes only 10 mil per year the Pelicans would pissing themselves. He deserves at least 15 especially for how we usually have to pay a ~15% premium over market to get free agents to come here

Simply lol. So all this horseshite you came up with is predicated on a very small chance that Charlotte fumbles the bag and doesn’t take Scoot at 2? If Scoot falls to 3 why wouldn’t Portland just trade Dame and start over. BI, Dame and a bunch of bums is most likely a play in team and at best a 4 seed.

Taking 50’s trade idea and making it actually worthwhile and better.
Charlotte: Simons, 3rd pick
Blazers: Ingram, #14
Pels: Sharpe, #2, #27
Charlotte uses cap space they can create and get a scoring guard to pair with Lamelo long term and still get Miller.
Blazers get a guy to keep Dame happy while still keeping a lottery pick.
Pels clear 27 million in space below the tax to do another trade, get Scoot and a late 1st to take a flyer on someone else or trade.

This makes more sense but still why would Charlotte or us do this? Charlotte would have to secretly like BM more than Scoot and we still need more if we are giving up BI’s prime years. I don’t get why anyone would think of trading BI let alone for a draft pick. We were 1st in the west before the Zion and BI wheels fell off. We have a good team with a good group of guys. All DG should be worrying about this off-season is getting our entire team ready for an entire season and resigning JV.

People are forgetting because of Zion and BI but the other injury problems hurt us just as badly. Losing GTA sucked the soul out of our team down the stretch. Larry was a beast in the beginning of the year then it looked like he was wearing cement boots the last 2/3rds of the season. CJ having minor injuries and then the thumb clearly hampered him. We should do everything possible to try and reduce injuries.

This is a MUST priority right now. Those injuries ruined a very promising season. We went from heroes to zeroes.

Simons and Sharpe match salary for Ingram
Charlotte has the ability to create enough cap space to take on Simons contract, or they could send Rozier out to a 4th team if they wanted.

Pels are an over the cap team, so the money coming in to the Pels would have to meet the trade salary requirements going out, correct?

In that trade Sharpe is coming to Pels.
The money can be lopsided because Charlotte has the abilty to take on Simons’ 24 million in cap space, so Pels don’t have to take on additional salary because Charlotte would be taking that additional salary.
