Kira, Naji and Willy can get us someone up to around $13 million (or about $10.5 million without Naji). Not sure we would want someone with a higher salary than that given over cap situation.

McDermott?….

They just traded a 1st to get him. Not sure they would trade up using him for bait unless they decide to do some sort of rebuild.

May not quite get there. However, are you trading all the way from 14 to 33? I would not give that up for McDermott. I have a hard time finding a team below us in round 1 that had a shooter we would covet enough (and fit the salary matching) to trade down.

Any trade made to appease Durant at the time shouldn't be viewed in the same lense today.

Yeah it’s tough….I forgot they had the first pick lol. But I was also thinking about keeping our pick this year, and attaching next years pick to grab someone.

I was thinking about Gary Trent, and sending out next years pick. Although, I’m not sure we would have enough salary to send out without Val included.

Trent is going to opt out. Only way to land him is through a sign and trade. He isn't worth the price he'll command.

O’neale is terrible. They would move him for anything of value and we should not be interested.

You sure he will opt out? I’m not sure there will be many suitors with cap space that will sign him to what he wants. I believe most guys with player options will opt in this year for the guaranteed money, then become free agents or sign & trade to another team the next season. This would give them the opportunity to make more as the Cap goes up.

If he does opt in though, it might be more prudent to just wait till the deadline to make that move.

A lot of noise around the league expecting him to opt out during the season. Toronto made him available at the deadline as well. He's 24 on the rise. Hes not opting in when he's going to get 20+ a year on the open market.

Not terrible at all. Very good defender and can hit the 3. He is a 3 and D type that many covet.

Maybe, but they continued to play him big (and key) minutes after KD left.

He can’t keep anyone in front of him and was like 38% from the field. Same reason Utah moved on from him.

Jonas is a solid player.

Key Pelicans issues = Zion being a soft fatty and BI being a delicate toe haver.

Soft superstars..

Making rash decisions when your 2 best players played 29 and 45 games also doesn't feel like the best idea.

None of the moves matter much if we get that kinda health again

......that was the 1 seed and playing nba finals level basketball.

Move will happen next year if zion/Ingram don't make some real round 2 noise in the playoffs

Naji, Trey, Herb, Jose and Dyson all give me hope that Karlo and EJ will hit the ground running too. Throw in someone like Lively at #14 and the only other move you need is turning Kira/Billy/Temple into a backup PG/Combo guard that’s big enough for Willie to play him with CJ.

That’s pretty much my dream off-season too. Except I don’t think we need a PG/Combo guard. Jose and Dyson should be able to fill that role. Give me another knock down shooter, like McDermott. If lively is good then you shop JVs expiring at the deadline.

Also, he has the best TOTAL rebounding percentage in the league….Higher than Jokic.

He has the 8th best TRB% in NBA history

Parting ways with him is fine, I’d just like to hear one’s solution for rebounding. You need an elite guy rebounding next to the inept rebounding shitstains we have, unfortunately
