It’s not the most exciting signing, but it’s a hell of a smart one. Partial guarantee, bullshite 1st year Deal with a team option for a second. If it clicks for this 22yr old kid, we have him on the cheap. If not, nothing really lost.

He apparently lost alot of weight and has been working on his shot, could be a steal

Okfaor is bigs insurance that Dell hopes to grow and possibly flip.

His fit with the other bigs is poor, putting it mildly.

The real position of need is 2nd unit rim protector here.

Besides the obvious lack of wings

That’s hilarious! Diallo is a 4th big at best! Just because he had semi success against summer league players a year ago doesn’t make him a good player.

Anyways, I like the deal and good call being ahead of this Crewz!

I have run into Cheick on multiple occasions about town and talked with him several times. He is a great kid, but he was highly recruited before Kansas and I think he believes he would be in a very different place if the NCAA bullshite didn't happen.

He has unjustified confidence in his game (particularly on the offensive side). Confidence is not a bad thing, but I think he has unrealistic expectations of his eventual role in the NBA. I think he was a bit insulted that he was asked to play in Summer League this year and his reaction was to try to dominate offensivley via some skills (perimeter shooting, ball handling) which he has started working on, but are far from developed. I think the attitude that Summer League was below him was offputting as was his focus on indvidual goals.

Seems about right for his agent considering the deal he just signed.

Team option on year 2 is pretty big. What a low risk high reward move. I’d much rather a signing like this instead of Monroe. I’m not expecting anything, but there’s a lot of talent there if he can get his mind right. That pic of the shape he’s in is exciting.

Low risk, High possible return on investment

Sorry, but I will die on this hill

It's not low risk, high reward. High reward is not relative.
