That’s my opinion. It’s a great deal and imagine having a rotation of AD, Niko, Randle, and a motivated Jahlil Okafor. I’m not used to the pelicans having talented players on the bench.

Actually, I think his fit with Mirotic is pretty good, offensively at least. If he can draw a double in the post, which he should against second units as he's a pretty effective scorer down low with either hand, then it should open up some looks for Niko, Miller and other shooters with the second unit. He can play with AD pretty well. Don't think he can get much run with Randle, Diallo or any other big on roster.

How can you know before Randle even steps on the court with the Pelicans?

Because its 2018 and you need to have a definitive take BEFORE you have evidence!

Duh.

I like Niko, but I feel like you're a prisoner of the moment right here. Yes, Niko was awesome in the playoffs, but he is a streaky shooter and had plenty of bad games in the regular season. I don't think you can definitively say that he's a better fit than Randle, I think Randle will be awesome in this offense.

It's a smart deal but you are left hoping the light goes on for him.
Defense is partly desire, partly conditioning and partly DNA.

At least he's in better condition.

Because I'm assuming cost and fit.

I like Niko. The issue is he's streaky and can't pass that well. Defensively he's eh. Other than that, I feel like he complements the team and more importantly AD really well.

I think Randle will be phenomenal in this system, but he can't space. He can pass really well. He's a plus defender.

Both fit well. But I'm more inclined to believe Randle will get more money and I'm not sure if that's smart to invest that much into the front court
