I trust Demps, but a GV/AR point guard situation has me nervous...

Gonna be some serious growing pains this season.

Jason Smith is now the oldest player on our roster at the ripe old age of 26.

I still don't think we trade Gordon. But the good thing about that lineup is they get a year of experience under their belts, and in next years draft we have another lottery pick plus Phoenix's number one which would potentially be a lottery as well. So next year would be the playoff push,

Bad move. This team has no veteran presence. Barkley always said he benefitted from having vets on the team when he was a rookie.

I think Ryan Gomes is now our "vet presence", just short of picking up Elton Brand off of amnesty.

Yep, because if you aren't an All Star you must suck.

I hate the PHX trade lineup, I was just posting their ages.

Look at this lineup for comparison:
Rivers (19)
Gordon (23)
Aminu (21)
Anderson (24)
Davis (19)

Typical casual NBA fan logic.

Crying over a journey man point guard when we have a promising rookie to run the point.

Yeah, I'm so sad

Ok, I've been lurkin the past few weeks to post a really good 1000th post, but I feel like the Gentleman deserves it the most. The dude's been an absolute class act for the Hornets and I feel like he shouldn't have been the one to salary-dump here, and was going to be a really good veteran mentor in developing Rivers.

I really have no clue where this could be heading cuz this team really needed a veteran PG to lead this team this year. Im still not convinced Vasquez is the answer.

Good luck JJ, I'll still follow ya on Twitersphere!

This is the worst part about it. Jack was a real leader too. He would get in players' faces if they don't give it all and he's a good floor general. I really dont like that we have no veteran leadership. There is a such thing as, too young

I hope this move wasn't just to satisfy Gordon's fear of competition, and ensure him Rivers plays Point.

It's July 11th.

This isn't the final roster. It's obviously a move that sets up another move.

I'm happy for Jack in one sense...

He's going to Golden State. That means he's going to get a lot of playing time because Stephen Curry's ankle is made of glass and eggshells.

We aren't done yet in this offseason. Hopefully we sign a couple of guys who are vets to help this team mature. And also Jack was the 16th best point guard in the NBA last year according to his PER, so maybe slightly above average at best
