McNamara is saying we don't get a Trade Exception because we were under the cap when we made the trade. That changes things a lot. It's still too early to say it's a bad deal but he needs to do something good with the cap space, definitely needs to be better than Gomes and a pick.

So we shipped Jack for nothing...bad trade. You could have at least gotten a pick for him.

Yeah. I'll wait and see what Demps does with the cap space but not getting a trade exception is a big deal. Some people on HR were speculating that Watkins getting thrown in was about opening a roster spot and a big move has to be coming.

I'm thinking we opened up cap space to out bid Dallas on Brand. Not terrible value on it's own swapping one decent vet for another, but it's a now move and I really wanted Jack to bring back a future asset.
