It’s been so many years of pure purgatory . Not sure I see a path that makes us a contender.

The trades I see for BI are limited. I’m almost for taking a risk on an up and comer….but I have no faith in Willie.

Hope I’m wrong.

Agreed. That was a different sounding Griff than normal after the season.

What does this mean?

The only way that is remotely possible is for Zion to take a massive leap forward.

Flipping Ingram, a borderline top 30 player, for another borderline top 30 player is not vaulting us to a championship. We need to develop talent. Acquire young high upside, give them minutes, and ride the wave. Even then, it takes time. Jokic didn't win to season 7. I think Giannis was year 6 or 7 too. There is a natural progressin. People just want to jump over all that. Which isn't realistic..

Then why are you still here to talk trash about the franchise? I swear I don’t get people like you. If I don’t think a team is great, I be long gone and root for a different team and not waste my time trashing them.

More than likely just a lateral move of talent. Griff doesn’t have the balls to go all in or take a step back to collect more assets/flexbility

Depends on what happens at Center. Whether we trade for Murray/ Trae/ Garland awesome.

But if that means we aren't getting Allen/ Kessler/ Sengun then what's the plan?

Hartenstein is looking the most realistic if no move for a center happens through trade.

The last thing we need to do is take on a Capella/ Lopez type center to "give us more time".

David Griffin is calling the shots. Of course it's going to be blah.

Mr. Run It Back is too afraid to actually make a move. He'd rather sit on his assets and watch them slowly slip away

I will believe in major changes when I see it.

Until proven otherwise, be prepared for a minor move to get a Center, a project like Missi at 21, and some other minor signings for the MLE etc to fill in the margins.

Do you think they'll re-sign BI, or go into the season with him as a lame duck?

I'm not saying what I think, only that I will believe whatever when I see it, but always prepare for mediocre.

I think they really really really WANT to trade BI.

I just don't know if Griffin is prepared to pull the trigger on a trade where he is perceived as "losing" the trade or taking a step back with younger players and picks, or a bunch of dimes for a dollar.

And I think the offers he is getting for BI right now are not great.

So I could see him going back and getting a good deal on a BI extension below the max, and then revisiting again next year with BI under contract.

He needs to stop being scared and throw some picks down for a trade if he doesn't like the offers that he's getting for BI.

We all could be totally wrong and they have some great deals in the works and some irons in the fire.

You never know.

We will just have to see.

Griffin isn’t a risk taker.

I like Missi as a prospect but he is raw as hell. If Griff is seriously banking on Missi solving our center position as a rookie then we are fricked

And you dont get anywhere in the NBA by playing it safe, especially in a market as small as NOLA.

That's what i respected about Dell Demps. He made plenty of mistakes but at least he wasnt a afraid to make a move like Griff.

Having a warchest of assets doesn't mean much if you just sit on it for 5 years as it slowly wastes away.
