He’s a top 10 center, 23 years old, complements our franchise player the best. And only cost 18 mil a year for 4 years. I’d take it all day.

I’d easily go for Turner or Sabonis. They are exactly what we’re missing/ needing.

How much do you think Sabonis commands after next season when he is due a contract?

$18 million for a center averaging 13 and 7.........I don't know.

I would take Sabonis and maybe someone else. His numbers are actually better, and it's pretty much a 1 year trial run. Griff will sign him if it works out.

A team in the first year of its rebuild doens't have 'needs.' You go with value and assets. You worry about needs in year two or three. Turner is not that great.

Turner is actually underpaid imo. Watch the deals that are about to go down in FA. They will be bananas.

Harrison Barnes just opted out of $25 mil. He didn't do that for future security or for less money. He's looking to get paid

Turner is 23, an all-NBA defender and shoots VERY well from the floor. There isn't a more perfect big that's every remotely available

He’s not due a contract. He just signed a 4 year 72 mil deal.

18/yr that’s up when Zion is due his payday

Yeah, I have a feeling the feeding frenzy this offseason will result in deals that make the ones for Hill, Deng, and Mozgov look tame.

Turner already has an extension and Sabonis has one year left before he is a FA. Whatever website you are relying on is a year behind.

They’d be taking on solo... solo and bertans is basically -16ish mil on the cap, you turn that into 18mil for a starting center and take the rest of our cap to get shooters. It’s seems like a really good deal.

38.8% from 3

6th in steals

team control for FOUR years at 18MM per

thats a wet fricking dream right right there
i would say yes so fricking fast that einstein might have to rework his theory of relativity

To an extent. You want to develop your young guys by playing them with talent that fits their game. You don’t want them to get used of playing out of position or out of their style fit.

Don't just look at a stat sheet. Turner is a top defender and the top shot blocker in the NBA last year. I really like Sabonis as well, but think Turner may be the better fit. Sabonis has an unbelievable motor and high BBIQ.

I do think he is a little bit overrated in Pelicans fandom, for sure.

But that is not factoring him as a truly great defender and that he has added range to his game, shot 38.8% last year from 3, has improved every year.

He's a good player and basically a dream pairing with Zion.
