That would mean the Pelicans are the most likely team to go to the Eastern Conference. Get us the hell out of the west with SA and OKC.

Minny and Memphis would likely move.

New Orleans gets fricked like usual.

Whenever Seattle gets another team they are 100% going to be the Sonics.

The pick should be Minnesota

Can put a well run team with a young superstar in the East.

The Timberwolves vs Knicks would be this years Eastern conference finals.

I kind of wish it was two teams now.
Kansas City
Seattle

Then in a few years
Vegas
And either Vancouver again or Louisville

We talked about this a couple of weeks ago. It should be the Wolves. They are closer to half a dozen East teams than the closest West team. It just makes geographic sense to move them to the East.

Only one team needs to move. Add Seattle and Vegas to the West, and you have 17 in the West and 15 in the East.

One team moves and they each have 16.

It makes sense for Minnesota and Memphis. Seattle will never be anything other than the SuperSonics.

And before the question is asked: only 1 team moves to the East because math.

If we are going by strict lat and long on the map Memphis is 0.1 degrees more east than New Orleans while Minneapolis is 3.2 degrees further west than New Orleans so technically it should be Memphis and then New Orleans going east with Minnesota being the furthest west of the 3. Of course we know that doesn’t matter, only tv ratings and the bottom line is important to the NBA.

We go over this every time. If they add two teams to the west. Only one team will move to the East.

The goal should be grouping teams together. The two closest West teams to the Wolves are Memphis and OKC, which are both about 800 miles away. From Minny to both Milwaukee and Chicago is about half that. The Wolves should be with those teams around the Great Lakes. It's stronger rivalries. Like ours should be with the Texas teams. I think the only missing for us rival wise are the Hawks, which would usually be paired with a team from New Orleans. But it just doesn't seem as passionate as the groups up north. Not a lot of Pelican haters where I live. To be fair, there doesn't seem to be a ton of Hawks fans either..

Why are you even worried about SA and OKC? Pelicans aren’t anywhere near those teams.

My childhood team and who I pulled for until NO got a team. Seattle getting another team and the Pelicans still being a disaster will make it pretty tough to pull for the Pels.
