Seeing all these new teams grow in the bright lights just shoves the knife in even more for how far away we are as a team and organization.
It felt like at this point last year we finally turned the corner.

This franchise is cursed. Ive accepted it. Zion will be gone sooner than later and we'll be mediocre for the foreseeable future.

Hart is the one I miss. I’m happy he is doing well in the playoffs but I sure wish he was still a Pelican

It's been a rollercoaster ride. From on track to the worst season in NBA history to making the Playoffs and making a good showing against the #1 team in the west to being the #1 team in the west mid season to having one of the worst records since January and missing the playoffs all together.

NAW is only starting/contributing because their star defender legit knocked himself out of the playoffs. otherwise, he'd be on the bench.

Yet he's still earning those minutes and making huge plays down the stretch that helped them win that playoff game. And Anthony Edwards singing his praises in his postgame speech just shows how his teammates feel about him.

To be fair. When Jax is given minutes in the correct role (not hanging out in a corner and shooting 3’s or trying to guard someone like Jokic 1 v 1).
He’s a very positive player for us. I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. But he got in the doghouse at a certain point and he’s not really a bad player.
He obviously didn’t work in the Suns series with Point God manipulating pick and rolls left and right
But there a lot of teams and matchups that Jaxson Hayes can give you positive minutes against. He just doesn’t get the opportunity for seemingly behind closed doors reasons.
There is no way in frick that a 40% healthy Larry Nance should have been getting minutes over Hayes for the majority of the season. That was a stubborn coaching failure more than Jaxson’s. Bc when he did finally get minutes, they were overwhelmingly positive.

It doesn't matter the coaches, staff, star players, role players, bench players..... this team is always going to have crazy injury issues because apparently all of the Pelicans facilities were built on an Indian burial ground.
