I hope Monty makes him cut his hair. Can't stand watching this Muppet Baby on the court.

Some generally reasonable Suns writers are saying they'd do a Lopez for Henry trade and that Lopez could be had for $4mish average.

Thoughts?

42 you didnt like the avatar I made for you?

It's way better than that annoying shite you have currently.

Agree we wouldn't be paying Lopez less than $4 million per year which is why I'd rather have just signed Darko for 1/3 of that (or Brand for 1/2 of that) to tide us over. Save our assets to acquire a true position of need like SF or PG

Assuming we don't overpay (which I know Dell won't), this would be a great move for us. He isn't nearly as good as his Brook, but I think he's exactly the piece we need. With a combination of Davis, Anderson, and Smith, we don't need to pay for a top center (being that they probably won't be on the court at the end of games), we just need another decent big body to throw in there and that is exactly what Robin would be.

Agreed.

I don't see Henry being in the mix for us this year.

He's not going to get much time at the 2 thanks to Gordon and Rivers. I don't see him getting much more time at the 3 thanks to Aminu and Miller.

Getting something back for him, even a mediocre big man, is better than nothing.

I see him as a bench sharpshooter for someone, but it doesn't appear that someone is us.

What are you smoking? Center is the biggest need on our team right now. Let's think of the people that are legit options (in our plans) at each position:

PG: GV, AR, EG
SG: EG, AR, GV, BR
SF: AFA, Miller, Ryno
PF: AD, Ryno, JSmoove
C: Crickets

We have someone "prototypical" of each position except the 5.

That's a pretty easy decision.

One of those guys could/would play a lot of minutes for us. The other would not.

With Anderson, Smith, and Davis all sharing minutes between PF/C, if we add Lopez I would think we are pretty much done there for the next few seasons unless we make a trade next year.

SF would likely be our main focus next off season.

Would certainly do that. However, if it were that easy, it would have been done already.

3 thanks to Aminu and Miller.

I totally forgot about Miller when thinking about this situation. Doing a deal including Henry is an easy choice. Miller could easily fill in at the 2/3 spot.

I would agree, but the Anderson signing and lack of movemenr for a starting C seem to indicate that Demps/Monty think Davis will be the answer at C.

I'm not disagreeing with that, but I think we need a bulk center (solid backup banger, at least) if we ever want to make it out of the 1st round.

Yes

I disagree. I will have to see something more than a subpar summer league showing for the 46th pick in any draft to convince me of this.

Yeah, even though it was just Summer League he didn't live up to the hype.

Second-round choice Darius Miller must negotiate terms of his contract, while will likely not be fully guaranteed.

That doesn't show a lot of confidence, but to be fair I think this is kind of common for 2nd rounders.

Yea I'm not sold on Miller yet but he'll do for this season. Plus if we trade Henry that will give Miller more minutes which could help him develop quicker. I'd be all for trading Henry for Lopez

I said elsewhere thanks and that I'd save it just in case.

Keep in mind that, at least for the duration of Henry's contract, his salary would act as a discount to Lopez's. Even more so if Henry's minutes are as limited as they were at the close of the season.
