Its highly likely that he will end up being the far superior player

The fact they are already this close and Dyson is 5 years younger is a pretty obvious give away.

For comparison:

Dyson is already valued enough to get a $25mil contract and was all NBA 1st team defense by 22 y/o.

Herb wasn't even drafted until 22 y/o and had some of the shittiest offense we had ever seen for 2 years. And still had some of the shittiest offense we have ever seen last year at 26 y/o.

Dyson has 4 more seasons to get his offense on the same level as Herb (which is mid) and DD's defense is already better 5 years younger.

Herb has been equally as bad offensively while 5 years older (besides 1 fluke year) and at best equally as good defensively while 5 years older.

You could legit argue that Herb's 1 good offensive year is more of a fluke than you can argue that he is consistently improving on offense. He just happened to have his best defensive year as well which helped exaggerate the good season.

Oh by the way that was also year (3) when he was 25-26 y/o. So you would still give Dyson 3 years to match.

Herb has 1 defensive 1st team and he's 27. DD has 1 defensive 1st team and he's 22.

What is the definition of Daniels' handling and being a playmaker?

Is he Trae Young or another starting point guard? No.

But he is a good enough passer in transition or the half-court to bring the ball up and be a point guard if Trae Young is off the floor or unavailable due to injury.

I would trust Daniels to get through 30-35 minutes as a PG more than most backup point guards.

You have to factor in that Dyson didn’t want to be in New Orleans too. He made that fairly clear by his comments after the trade. Herb does want to be a Pel though.

But you're not paying your back up point guard $25 million per year.

How do you have hope as a franchise when over half the league wants no part of this place?

People have a hard time wrapping their head around this. Same people on here that said DD sucked and wouldn’t amount to much so they have to double down. It’s crazy how advanced on D he is at his age. Players his age are rarely in the running for DPOY awards.

The trade ended just as I thought and said, being a bad trade and Griffin getting bad value out of it. Murray isn’t a needle mover and an empty player similar to BI. And it cost us a bunch of extra firsts.

This hindsight bs. He just shite on the organization like everyone else that left. Josh Hart did the same thing, so did he not want to be in Nola? It was a shite team with shite for a gm and coach. Players point it out after they leave.

Why lie?

Jrue Holiday thanked us after getting a ring with the Bucks.

The one guy that got paid millions for years of being injured. And even he asked for a trade in the end. So you wrong about that.

Name another.

I was right even if the Achilles doesn’t pop just b/c of what DD turned into.

What the majority of this board didn’t think was possible, including yourself. Nba beat writers agreed after this past year. Plenty of articles laughing at us getting fleeced.

No sane gm would make that trade again if Murray was healthy. That’s why I’m right.

A starting guard that couldn't make the playoffs with Trae Young as his running mate? Boy you sure showed us

Remind me again of the playoff success Murray had with Hawks. I’ll wait. Difference is, Murray has been a well established player for years in his prime, DD was a 21 year old starting for the first time…..

But talk about moving goalposts….

Murray was the better player in the deal and fit more of what we needed

Injuries suck but happen and cant be predicted

Let's not rewrite the way the trade is viewed based on things no one could have predicted at the time

Dyson while a talented player still doesnt help this team. Murray still can.

He was asked to be the number 2 scorer on that team. Asked to do something completely different here. That's not the gotcha you think it is.

And here we go, but but but but..

Almost comical at this point. Same exact roster DD was on.

Paid millions by the organization for years while he sat on the bench to recover from his chronic injuries. Asked to get out and team granted his request after he finally recovered. Team sends him to a good spot. Says a few nice things about organization for bending over backwards for him his entire career here while he wins a ship his first year out the door. Real shocker naming him….

Still waiting for that 2nd player to be named. Because there’s a whole list on the other side the ledger….

Pels talk logic: DD never asked for a trade but didn’t want to play here and wanted out, Jrue actually asked for a trade and wanted off this team, but he loves the Pels and never wanted to leave. It’s comical the shite yall post.

So what, he got paid, he is not on the Pelicans. Quit living in the past, move on.
