Where all my crying pels idiots who trashed this pick at?

Lol.

Hawkins is real deal - and he has CJ to help him develop, a player he is similar too.

Great pick Pels.

Were people crying? I remember most were pretty excited about a shooter being drafted.

Most reasonable people liked the pick. Actually the Pelicans front office has done outstanding works as our picks the last 3 drafts are shaping up nicely. The Pelicans are deep.

Full on melt - too small blah blah.

Armchair GM’s united on here to whine, piss, and moan.

I do agree that reasonable posters attemptted to reason with the dumbasses - he was the best shooter in the draft obvious take etc.

If I remember correctly, Balsamic had an epic meltdown over the pick.

The craziest thing to me was Summer League and Preseason where people acted like one of the top shooters in the draft was not a good shooter now. I could see it not translating if he had a slow release, but anyone that watches him can see he’s got an insanely quick release.

I liked the pick
I did not like how he looked in the summer league or preseason at all. That’s where most of the negativity came from.
I was wrong.
I absolutely love the confidence Hawkins plays with.

don't forget about Macintosh504 melting pretty good too...

so many here wanted Bufkin over Hawkins, if we weren't going to gamble on Whitmore...

Still has the same issues people were concerned about coming into the draft. Dude only managed to get 4 assists in 15 games. Tunnel vision problem.

Hawkins is averaging, per game, more points, more assists, and basically the same rebounds and blocks... the only major stat Whitmore is ahead in is steals...

While Whitmore is averaging a better shooting percentage (.510 vs. .401), around 2/3 of Hawk's shots are 3s, compared to roughly 1/2 for Whit... not to mention, Hawk has taken a little over 3 times as many shots as Whit...

we made the right choice, no matter how you slice it

realistically, the ROTY voting, for players in the 2023 draft only, right now, should be:
1.) Wemby
2.) Jacquez
3.) Miller
4.) Scoot
5.) George
6.) Hawkins
7.) Lively
8.) Podziemski
9.) Whitmore
10.) Coulibaly

This is looking like such a strong draft. What’s funny is the lakers getting Hood Schfino (has been terrible so far) and the next three guys drafted after him were Jacquez, Whitmore, and Podz.

I know that’s killing laker fans rn

overall, it was... and most NBA fans knew it was pretty deep... this next draft is very top heavy, at least it's definitely looking that way... it's basically Sarr and a bunch of projects

Here comes the dumbasses justifying shitty takes.

Hey moron. He dropped 30 plus as a rookie last night. The entire NBA is impressed by this kid.
