I wonder if this raping of the truth was by design. People are focused on Griff more than Zion.

Yall remember all offseason how I bitched and complained about how concerned I was about not getting a backup 4? And I was routinely told how that wasn't a concern?
I said the same, Lauri M is looking pretty good right about now.

The most frustrating part of all this is this was such a clean slate when the Zion and Griff era started and the same problems this franchise had before remain the same .
I don’t get How Zion, as a “professional “ , is never in shape and how the Pelicans , as an organization , allow it to happen over and over .
Zion constantly declares “ I just want to win” yet never gives himself or his team the best chance to be successful . That line he repeats is clearly just lip service.
From an organizational standpoint , there is no accountability . It’s what has plagued this franchise year after year . Excellence is not demanded so you get mediocre or worse . It’s a vicious cycle. Now that you are mediocre you have to baby certain players or parts of the organization bc you are in constant fear of losing them. Now that ppl have been babied, you can’t demand excellence.

I think him missing playing with all the other really good players on the Olympic team cost him an opportunity to see how great players get and stay great. Learning from their habits was something I really needed to bank on because his people damn sure don't have him right.
Now who the hell is going to hold him accountable on the team when he's obviously out of gas after 25 mins on the court? BI? Garrett? Hart? Willie?

Christian Clark @cclark_13 Griff clarified today that "his timeline should get him back on the court in time for regular season" comment meant any time during the regular season, not the start of the regular season.

Because new orleans has no business rostering a "generational talent" ...
These guys like AD and Zion have been living a millionaire's life since they were 16 years old.. They have no interest in bringing their brand - or their family & inner circle - to New Orleans
The best thing you can hope for is to fall into a very good player that doesn't give a shite about media markets.. think Tim Duncan. Maybe Ingram is that guy, and you can surround him with a good coach and some overachiever Europeans
