I’m interested to see the rotations. These first 10-15 games we need to build on what we think works, figure out what doesn’t and does work, and get into a rhythm.

Consistent effort on defense. Sensible rotations, no straight line drives to the rim, no lazy/early/stupid double teams that create wide open threes, and no 40 point quarters allowed. I hardly care about anything else because without improved defense, nothing else will matter.

Watching fears. He may be the only long term piece currently on the roster and it would be huge if he takes a real leap.
Hard to find any real optimism. For seemingly the nth consecutive season the pelicans appear set to be in the bottom of the league in 3 pt shooting and don’t have any big men that can defend the rim or close out possession with rebounds.
On the other hand we about to shock the world and win 46 games on the back of better than average depth.
