So that makes them being in this spot even worse.

If you knew you weren't re-signing Jonas then why didn't they make a trade at the deadline(gafford)

I think we could have got Willy Hernangómez back for vet minimum. He’s younger and bigger. Theis at 6’8” is gonna get hammered in the post

Willy is currently under a three year contract with FC Barcelona.

We aren’t ponying up cash for a buyout.

Yeah, he is a backup at this stage of his career.

I would love to know what griffin's plan was going into the off-season.

I don't think he was banking on getting his starting center in a bi trade. I honestly believe Griff would've taken bi back at the right number before trading him

If they just are not getting any good bites at all on the BI front, you may have to sign Biyombo and Reed, and do a bigs by committee type of thing, with a bunch of guys just eating minutes and doing different things, with BI, Trey and Zion eating various minutes in various lineups as "4s and 5s". And just live with it for a minute.

this led me to McNamara's twitter somehow.....I used to think that guy was just an extreme narcist but he may actually just be an insane person

10. Finally, I see how big a waste of time this is, but due to my history I just cant quit. So, I scheduled an appointment with a hypnotist to make me hate sports. Its the only way. I want to use this time to do other stuff. I really hope it works.

And that, is MY perspective.

Solid backup center, averaged 18 MPG over the past 3 seasons, 7.1 pts, 4.3 reb, .8 blk, .4 stl.
To compare him to Nance over the past 3 seasons:
21 MPG, 6.5 pts, 5.3 reb, .4 blk, .9 stl.
Hopefully similar production at a reduced price

One is an oversized PF and the other is an undersized center. If we are gonna roll with a backup undersized center atleast we have a real one now..

If you win games sure but if we start getting destroyed inside and losing games- then what? At what cost are we willing to keep BI? Even if we do what you said, we’re going into the season with the worst center situation in the league.

If the offers for BI are just absolute trash, you can't take it just to take it.

Most teams have a weakness somewhere. When your best player is a 4, having a weakness at Center is probably the best place to have a weakness at it.

You can cover it up more effectively.

Just to be clear, this isn't what I want to do at all, and I hope they make some sort of deal to get a Center.

But its also the easiest position to cover up and by committee.

75% of coaches are easily replaceable in the NBA. NBA players aren't. WG had proven that he sucks as a coach.

McNamara is an ultra narcissist, insecure and contradicts himself time and again. I could go on, but I’ve already wasted more time and n him than I should have.

Maybe. But currently our committee is Theis, JRE and Missi. I do think you can win by committee but these guys aren’t good enough to do that. All of them are third string centers.

I get your point but most of our players are horrendous rebounders as well. I just don’t think this team specifically can win with center at committee. They need at least a Kessler type player or Capela just to survive.

Agree but we’d have the shortest front court in history. All these guys are 6’8 or 6’9 with Zion being short for his position.

Griff really screwed up and we should have pushed for at least Drummond. A bunch of different types of centers in the comitee for matchups. One of the reasons I wanted to draft Edey if he slipped.
