Why in the hell didn't we make Zion and picks available for fricking Luka. The fricking Lakers. I hate the NBA sometimes!

Since the mavs are crazy. Let’s trade Herb straight up for lively. Get our center for the met decade

Dude has done conditioning issues but got them to the finals last year, and look at his resume.
The way Griff has treated Zion with kid gloves is a joke. Half a decade and he can’t get us out of a play in game lol. Luka they ship off for 20 cents on the dollar.

I like Lively, but considering we already traded our best perimeter defender in Dyson. And our perimeter defender we got back for Dyson, just ruptured his achilles. I wouldn’t trade Herb for anything less than a 4/5 tool center.
Lively is a rim running, weak side, shot blocker. I value Herb significantly over that.

Lakers aren't done and are seeking a 2nd star to pair with Luka long term. If we wanted to flip Zion, they would probably be all over it. They don't have a ton to deal, but they could build something out of Reaves, Knecht and pieces/picks..

WOOOOOAAAHHHHHH WTF DID I WAKE UP TO

Chris Haynes is saying Dallas said they would only trade Luka if they could get AD back.
Apparently Nico Harrison was AD’s Nike rep and they’re very close. So probably a case of them calling Lakers and asking what it will take to get AD, Pelinka told them Luka and they said ok.
What a dumb arse organization

I dont think our franchise qualifies for the collusion discount.

Someone on the twitterverse stated Mavs have to have something lined up to get some scoring, and suggested Klay and Gafford for BI and Theis. Got me thinking, there’s still time for them to expand this trade and Lebron to demand out.
Miami: Lebron
Lakers: Butler, Doncic (wtf), Kleber, Morris
Mavs: AD, Christie, Reddish, Ingram, Theis
Jazz: Klay, JHS
Pels: Naji, Gafford, Clarkson

Mark Cuban didn't want to pay that 320+ million for Luka's extension this summer
Posted on 2/2/25 at 5:39 am to DBeaux225
Dallas simply said "we have no All-Star players, LAL has two, let's take one of them".

What about javonte if you're bringing naji back?

Sent out to Warriors or someone for 2nds.
We could also take Sexton instead of Clarkson, but that adds about 2.2 million to our cap. We could probably add JRE to the deal and still send out Javonte for 2nds to get under the tax, which with the Murray injury I think I would prefer as Sexton gives us a viable PG for the start of next season.
Next season our roster looks like:
Sexton/Jose/Murray(out for half season)
Herb/CJ/Hawk
Trey/Naji/Reeves
Zion/?
Yves/Gafford/Karlo
Draft pick would likely replace Herb in the starting 5

It was because of conditioning issues. Which just seems absurd

From ESPN:
LOL.
quote:
The Mavericks were motivated to move Doncic because of his constant conditioning concerns, sources told MacMahon. There had been significant frustration within the organization about Doncic's lack of discipline regarding his diet and conditioning, which team sources considered a major factor in his injury issues.
Though Doncic was relatively svelte by his standards when he reported to camp, his weight ballooned to the high 260s early this season, sources said. He sat out five games in late November, when the Mavericks listed him with a sprained right wrist, an extended absence to allow Doncic to focus on his conditioning. He had a similar early-season layoff in the 2022-23 season.
Doncic has been limited to 22 games this season because of a variety of injuries. He has twice strained his left calf since reporting to Dallas before training camp in late September, although the Mavericks reported the fall injury only as a calf contusion, sources said.
LOL.

Then they'd have two constantly out of shape roster centerpieces. Don't think they'd be as interested in Zion as you think.

So the pelicans should trade those Lakers pics and some combo of BI or Zion asap?
Whatever Lakers they have left become worthless
