While it’s fun to blame everything on the Lakers, I am almost certain this came from the Pelicans side

Yeah anything where we end up with Kuzma is a pass for me. In this scenario I think we'd need to end up with BI and Beal.

I can't understand why, doesn't Kuzma play the same position as Zion?

I like Beal but that deal is trash. Kuzma is arse. I do not want him. We need to be getting Ingram in any deal.

People here worry too much about "positions"

Although I hate Kuzma, he's one of the most overrated players in the league, he can play with Zion

You’re really dumb if you think that the GMs use these ‘leaks’ to communicate with each other

The thing is, if you get Beal, you can take a chance on one or two of the Lakers players

It might not happen but I am 100% certain that the Pels have made it clear to the Lakers that Beal is the target

If Boston offers Tatum we will take that offer. This is forcing to Lakers to scramble with everything they can possibly do.

In my opinion this is a win. We don’t want to trade with the Lakers, but it tells Boston to give us Tatum and AD is yours. It tells Lakers we want a borderline impossible deal done to get Beal here.

When you watch Golden State do you view Curry as the main distributor?

He’s the PG by position but Draymond leads the team in APG. Durant gets more assists than Curry, too. The Pels wouldn’t have a main distributor, they’d have 2 capable distributors with Beal and Jrue as the guards. Jrue is better at cutting, Beal is a better shooter. They are very complementary. Zion can distribute. It’s true position-less basketball.

The fairest trade is
-BI + #4 to Washington
-AD to Los Angeles
-Beal + Zo + Kuz + 1 pick to New Orleans (Id prefer flipping Zo for picks)

If you're getting Beal and trash I think I'd rather just take Tatum and picks. Beal's not old but he's not young either. We're trying to build a winner around Zion, not Jrue.

Either way the framework is laid out and everyone knows what is needed for AD

Beal is #1, Tatum is #2 that’s what Griff has made clear

Some of us aren't so narrow minded that we think FT% makes up an entire player's worth.

His defense, basketball iq, and court vision is insane for a 2nd year player.

He doesn't score, but does everything else at a really high level given his age.

And even though he's not a good shooter overall, he wasn't abysmal from 3.

Well, getting Beal, youd definetly wanna flip Ball bc hed be a bench player...

Kuzma... he may have value somewhere but it aint here.

So two of the three players we'd be getting are blah for us....

I'd say give me Beal, INgram, and a future 1st.
Evrything else you can use to get Beal as needed
