We really should target Myles Turner in FA if we can somehow get him

One of the bigger "what ifs" is what would have happened if the Pacers had agreed when Griff offered them the #4 pick in 2019 for Turner.

I think it would have been good for both franchises.

CJ with Payton’s vision and passing would be an incredible player

I’ll add to it: Zion’s (as much as a i hate to say it) lack of a consistent midrange jumper is the problem. If he cannot add this to his arsenal, we’re toast.
And I’m not talking about 3pt consistency because i think he’s ok in that area, but the midrange is what will make him a great player - defenders will have to respect his pump-fake which will allow him to attack the rim. Or shoot the jumper.

If he’s not currently in the gym working on 10-12 jumpers, get ridddd of himmmm.

He's not a rookie anymore. I'm sorry but he's not adding something to his arsenal in year six. We know what Zion is. We saw peak Zion in year two.

Players add to their games all the time.

I've totally given up on Zion. I think we should trade him. But to say he cannot develop is just wrong. Now, if he continues to play 30 games a season, he surely will not develop. But he's entering the Summer healthy for the first time in a long time. If he stays healthy (I know, I know, believe me, I know), there's no reason he can't add a midrange pull up jumper to his game.

I realize that

We can't even get him to come into the season in shape, why would I ever expect him to come into a season adding something new to his game

Listen to yourself. Just stop. I actually like Zion, but enough with the battered wife syndrome. He is what he is.

Hindsight would tell us he would have missed 1-2 years with injuries. I'd rather not think about "what ifs" with this team.

I honestly think one of the best moves we can make is try to get Capella for cheap this offseason. He's still a solid defender/ rebounder and is a perfect player to help mature Missi.

My short list excluding minimum contracts would be:

Kessler
Myles Turner
Naz Reid
Jarrett Allen

Dumars played AAU ball in the early 80s with St Bernard former parish president Guy McInnis

Mitchell Robinson played at Chalmette while McInnis was parish president

Mitchell Robinson will be a free agent again next summer

Zion has no dog and mimics the cat lady. Soft, weak and always hurt about something.

Missi could be an important piece.

I watched Dumars play ball in Natchitoches. He was impressive at that level…

They've proven very valuable to their respected playoff teams. They're not being moved unless it's for a giannis star level trade.
