These would pretty much be my options I think:
1) Draft Moody at 10
2) Draft Wagner at 10
3) Draft Bouknight at 10
4) Trade down
5) Draft Giddey at 10
6) Draft Kai at 10
No Mitchell?

For me, it's Moody, Wagner, Mitchell, then look at trades.

If we don't give up 10 for Sexton then I just don't see how you don't trade down. There isn't enough separation unless your scouting makes you sure about a player.

If other teams feel that way though, why would they want to move up?

If you're looking for shooters like the Pels are there will be a lot of options in the teens. If you're looking for a big then if Sengun or Kai Jones are there at 10 you probably need to trade up. If you want a playmaker and Giddey's on the board at 10, he probably won't be by 16.

I just hope that if the Pels do trade down that Mitchell is off the board. If they pass on Mitchell we'll have a new thread made every time he scores more than 10 points.

I keep circling back to the Warriors being a trade partner. Adams just makes a lot of sense for their title run. Moving off Looney and Wiseman frees up enough money to bring in Adams. Looney would be a fine rotational player. Get a 3rd team involved that likes Wiseman and #10 and collect from them.

I'm in the same boat with Mitchell as I am with Kispert. I think cost/benefit we are better served grabbing Butler, McBride, Springer, etc. later. If we could get Mitchell later, that would be cool though. If you view Mitchell's upside as a sure starter and buy his shot creation/first step, I get picking him at 10. I personally see his upside as being a fringe starter. Moody, Wagner, Bouknight to me are better bets to be long time starters and Giddey and Kai have strong starter upside that I buy because of their feel/skill and outlier athleticism/motor respectively.

On the surface I like Mitchell but when you really put some time into thinking about him there's some things to be worried about. There's a pretty long list of guys that as 18, 19, and/or 20 year olds weren't very good in college. Then when they become 21, 22, even 23 in some cases they suddenly become really solid college players. They get drafted based off what they showed in 4th and 5th seasons in college, then they bust in the NBA.

So the question is, did they truly really take that big of a step, or as a 22 year old did they just outplay an 18 year old and when they reach the league and 99.9% of the players are the same age or older, their skill level comes back down to earth?

That would be a concern of Mitchell for me.

I do'nt understand what's happening here.
You are expecting to get Looney and Wiseman for Adams?
The Warriors don't want to make picks at 7 and 14, and what they are trying to do this offseason with 7/14/Wiseman is upgrade Wiggins.
I'd have no problem being the 3rd team trying to facilitate a trade with them and taking back Wiggins.

Yeah their preferred method would definitely be to turn those picks, Wiggins, and Wiseman into a stud. That's very possible, but acquiring Adams is a realistic way to improve their roster and how they matchup in the playoffs.

We would essentially be a facilitator in this move because we are basically acquiring Looney for Adams at its core. The 3rd team is reimbursing the Warriors for Wiseman. Picks 7, 10, 14 are moved around the 3 teams depending what all is added to the deal. Shoot, if you want to get really crazy, this could be part of a much bigger deal that gets Wiggins and someone like Siakam involved.

Updated OP with our new collection of picks.

Some guys that might be there at 17 that intrigue me: Butler, Kispert, Murphy, Garuba, Z Williams, Thomas, Kai

Oh yeah. Would definitely love me some Springer too. I was really hoping for Moody, but like you said, plenty of great options at 17 too

The NBA rumor mill has both Jonathan Kuminga and Keon Johnson taking a serious slide in the draft.

I think it’s probably true for Johnson.

I’m sure it’s because there are other players available that are actually good at basketball….

Hard for me to see Kuminga sliding out of the top 10, but crazier things have happened. Even if Keon is available at 17, he likely wouldn't be my favorite option available. Kai and Ziaire would be two options I would prefer if the Pels stay true to their upside philosophy.

The more I look into Murphy, the more I want him for this team.

I’m with you… I want Kispert.

Someone who is ELITE at something already and will space the floor for Zion and punish opposition of they don’t.

Chad Ford is saying there's an expectation that Duarte won't get past the Wizards at 15.

Also a lot of smoke linking the Warriors to Wagner at 7.

Mitchell is smallest than Kira...He willn't can be versatile on defense thus (can only guard 1 in nba, not even 2)..

He's already 23...Very limited potential therefore..
He isn't an elite shooter (only 65% at FT%)...His range is pick 25-35
