What about a trade for Trae Young instead of Murray.
BI/Dyson/JV for Trae/Okongwu, and whatever picks need to move.

What are the odds ATL would consider moving Trae, and would you want him?
If Zion would get his shite together and get in shape, i think a pairing of him and Trae is a lot better than him and BI. I do'nt think CJ can be the SG next to Trae though, as Trae is basically LIllard and that defensive pairing will never work, but Lillard and CJ never had Zion on their team.

This desire to dump Murray for a huge loss is a big sign they're committing to Trae

I love Trae and his fit on this team especially with Zion but it seems like ATL is not moving him or Jalen Johnson. Can you imagine what Trae and Hawk with Zion would do to defenses??

I don’t understand this train of thought. They gave up 3 1sts one of them protected and what was considered a bad salary in Gallo. They’re seeking a starting level player and 2 1sts in return for him, so how is that taking a huge loss?

Of course, there's a reason he's so coveted: he's a very good player. So good, in fact, that Marc Stein is reporting that Hawks coach Quin Snyder is pushing the front office to keep him.

Maybe they try to keep him?

The fact that Trae has been completely silent on Murray is more interesting. I have a feeling those two don’t get along. Wouldn’t be surprised if internally hes pushing for the trade.

I am ready to move off of Ingram. We know what we have in him at this point. We have had our healthiest year ever with this core and we still look like a playin team. Let someone else pay him $50 million a year.

Im just talking about rotation wise. You could easily put Herb and Nance in the other two spots to balance it out. Frankly, this whole team is always worried about defense (Greens rotations are mostly defensive)- hows that worked out for this group so far?

NetRtg
Herb/Dyson +1.2 422 minutes
Herb/Hawkins -2.1 327 minutes
Herb/Trey +8.8 226 minutes
Herb/Jose +14.3 162 minutes
Herb/Naji +14.8 173 minutes

NetRtg for just the 4th quarter
Herb/Dyson -22.6 121 minutes
Herb/Hawkins +4.6 101 minutes
Herb/Naji +13.4 48 minutes
Herb/Trey -10.9 47 minutes
Herb/Jose -14.2 45 minutes

If one thing is clear here, Herb and Dyson don't need to be on the court together, ever.

Have not seen that they are demanding 2 1sts. Also, all 1sts are not created equally. They have up 3 1sts and 2 were unprotected along with a swap.

Unrealistic. Trae not being traded. Not sure he fits with too many players though. He is such a ball hog that he alienates teammates (and probably why he and Murray cannot co-exist).
