re: CP3 cried when Hornets traded him

People tend to forget that Paul was coming off knee surgery and playing with a knee brace the first couple of months of the season.
That injury has robbed him of a half step or so of explosion. We will never see the guy we saw take over games on a nightly basis again. Hard enough to dominate like he did at 6 feet, even harder when you lose athleticism that made you a truly transcendent player
He went from playing the best ball of any pg ever from 07-09 to merely being the best in the league. What a quitter

Dude was amazing when he was here in his prime. He is only 75% of the player he was. Even at that, he is still a top 3 PG in the league. It would have been amazing to see him and AD play together. CP3 and AD >>>>>>>> CP3 and Flop City.

I still play on the courts he refurbished at Magazine/Napoleon
No he didn't. You can thank the Hornets organization and Richard Disposal for that. If you played there you would know this.

You are correct, sir. It was quite the contrary.

When the weather allows. You should meet me over there at 6 am tomorrow. We can knock out some suicides before the games start.

It would be water under the bridge if the trade for him hadn't ended up being such an unmitigated disaster for us
If we don't trade for EGKnee, we're probably talking about building around Bledsoe and Harrison Barnes instead of Anthony Davis. I do wonder how much of an influence Stern had in resigning Gordon, we supposedly didn't even pick up the phone to consider trades, but resigning Gordon was the disaster, trading for him was a huge success.

He didn't publically stomp his foot. He openly told the organization early on that he had no intention of re-signing. Sure, he got quoted saying all that stuff about New York, but that was never meant to be made public.
My probloem with him is that this article is a big lie. We wanted out for a long time before we traded him. He wanted to be in a big market. he got his wish. I just wish he would honestly say this.

The farthest he ever got was the second round of the playoffs. I have my expectations much higher for AD.
shite we are having the same problems with surrounding AD with playoff caliber talent like we did with CP3. Just like the team was cash strapped with the acquisitions of Posey and Peja, this year's team is in the same boat with Gordon, Reke, and Holiday who are all ball dominate guards. Unless they can unload one of these contracts (preferrably Gordon) AD won't realize the success CP3 had here. CP3 was able to create offense for his entire team. We have no one on the current roster who can do that.

that is an understatement. the whole ownership change could have been handled better.

Being a bitch because his bff Bron-Bron got his little super team and Chrissy poo wanted one too so he stomped his little feet till he got one
He was being a lil sissy, but I can't blame anyone for wanting off the team in that situation.

I just hated that he listened to Lebron James and his group... That got under my skin. Otherwise he was pretty justified in wanting to leave.

Most interesting part of the artice IMO
Why would anyone expect CP3 to play for a poorly run organization that was losing its second-best player? I'm glad he handled the situation the way he did. It's better than him leading them, saying he'd possibly re-sign, then jetting in free agency.
