The sad part is I can almost guarantee that this will "wake him up" and for the next few weeks he will go on an absolute tear and we will all buy in again, just to be disappointed again a time after that.

He's very good most nights. If anything last 2 games were the outlier. Some selective memory shite going on ITT.

He's scored 13 or less in 3 of his last 4 games.

Which of his peers or top 10 players have done the same?

So disappointed in his performance last night. Season was going in the right direction and even though he was out of shape they were putting it together.

Last nights effort took the air out the season excitement for me personally. On the biggest stage/game so far he gives by far his poorest performance. Wasn’t like he just had a bad shooting night, it’s like he just didn’t care at all. And it totally affected the rest of the team.

I’ve been a big Zion fan, but, last night was so bad I don’t care if he gets traded anymore. If that’s the effort he is going to put on when it’s an important game then get ride of him.

Hoping this is a come to Jesus moment for him. But, I’ve said that numerous times and if he doesn’t get it after this he never will. Not in New Orleans anyways.

Zion had jaxson hayes on him last night at times and refused to attack him. That was insanity to me, his former trash arse teammate and doesn’t even abuse him

That's hilarious as you have been ready to trade him for quite some time for an unproven rookie.

Watching those clips, after having watched that pre-game interview, and it seems pretty obvious that Zion (and Ingram) were as high as a giraffe's arse..

That was my thought watching their play last night. I think both had way too much fun in Vegas before the game. The entire team looked like they were sleep walking other than maybe Herb (the most professional player on the team).

He took a combined 25 shots in those 3 games. He also played less than 28 minutes in each. I am wondering if he is sick or hurt and (in true Griffin form) that is not being disclosed. He also had 7 and 6 assists in two of those games so it is clear he is deferring when on the court. Not sure if that is the game plan (as he has seemed to be force feeding JV a lot lately).

That or he's sick/hurt. I know it's fun to shite on fat Z but he's not that bad lol

Mrs Iwy thought he was high. His pre game interview he definitely sounded baked. Said “yes sir” to the lady interviewing him and looked pretty disinterested. Doubt he was but this was just another level bad effort game.

Exactly how I felt. Beating the Kings in SAC had me so excited for the rest of the season. Now….not so much. It’s still early but goddamn

It's sad that we have to hope he was hungover, which in and of itself is a red flag but, sadly, is better than the alternative.

Whats crazy is Zion contributed to that win over the Kings. But he only scored 10 points and had similar lapses on defense, although his defense in second half picked up. What’s interesting is he only played 28 minutes and almost looked like Willie decided to go with JV for a long time in the fourth instead of dealing with Zions shite defense. Its crazy Hawkins can’t play because of his defense but Zion can and his defense some would argue is worse. If your Hawkins- who agreed struggles on defense but also is a better rebounder and has played relatively well this season- can’t get minutes but Zion is, he’s probably sitting there saying wtf is this shite???!!

What do any of those videos have to do with you saying the dude wouldn't stop missing shots when he had missed exactly 1 shot?

The issue that everyone, but you it seems, was complaining about was his lack of aggression and not taking shots.

Such a weird thing to double down on considering how flatly wrong you are

He is definitely still efficient on FGs but he is terrible from the line at 64%, which is a problem as he attempts by far the most on the team. This is his worst season from the line since his rookie season, another sign that he hasn't put it in the work. Also his lowest PPG and RPG of his career. The positive is that his assists and up but, overall, what a major disappointment he has been.

This is why being a pelicans fan makes a Charlie Brown of us all.

That game so thoroughly laid bare the gap between what Zion is and what we hope Zion will become. Surely, surely this is the wake up call for Zion to become a professional. Surely he won’t yank the ball away from us again.

In a culture that cares about being posterize, Lebron utterly posterized Zion just by running up and down the court while Zion stood there as an helpless, impotent, fat sack.

I think it will be interesting to see if the team does damage control for Zion again. I think that's the next step before holding him accountable publicly, is letting the external criticism set in.
