Hes 33 percent not 35. That was his rookie year. But again overall Herb has been great.
I’m not sure what you are looking at, but it’s backwards. All of his numbers are up this year. He’s been 33% each of his first two seasons.

Think of a shooters lineup around Zion of
CJ
Hawk
Matt Ryan
Trey Murphy
Zion
We would give up rim protection but let Zion take it to the rim and if they choose to send help and double him then anyone he kicks it out to is a sharpshooter. This team is about to have some diverse and scary lineup combinations.

I think Trey is going to be a better rim protector for us this season than people think.

We need to level our expectations on Trey a bit. I love him but hes coming off his first major injury. Its going to take him some time just to knock the rust off and become the Trey we know. I think a leap happens but it may be not until much later in the season when hes in a groove.

I agree but he does look A LOT bigger. I think there’s reason to expect that will at least translate to more inside presence

If we win the IST game, great we move on to Las Vegas.
If we lose, looks like we get a week of rest. LINK

According to ESPN, all three players are listed as a game time decision.

CJ McCollum said on his podcast that he'll play tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers. Missed 12 games with the cracked rib/collapsed lung.
No game time decision for CJ I guess, he’s back

That's fantastic news. Oddly enough the line has been moving towards sixers all morning.

McCollum (lung) announced on his podcast, "The CJ McCollum Show," that he intends to play Wednesday against the 76ers, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
The Pelicans officially list McCollum as questionable for Wednesday's game, but based on his own comments, the 32-year-old is likely closer to "probable" as the 8 p.m. ET tipoff approaches. McCollum is scheduled to take part in the Pelicans' morning shootaround, and if all goes well, the team could confirm shortly thereafter that he's been cleared to return from a 12-game absence due to a cracked rib and collapsed right lung. McCollum will most likely reclaim his role as the Pelicans' starting point guard if he's cleared to play Wednesday, though he could be on a soft minutes restriction.

So that means Trey likely plays next week.

It's great to have CJ back, but be prepared for 3-4 games of bad shooting. Remember when he came back from COVID? Took him a while to get his lift on his shot back.

Get the hell out of here, son. CJ is going 37-8-6 tonight. 6 of 10 from 3.

rim protection starts with perimeter defense

I’m not sure what to expect from CJ. He was in possibly the best shape of his life to start season and played really well. This wasn’t a knee or wrist type of thing, and he’s largely been practicing most of this time. May need to catch-up to NBA game speed again, but I would think CJ will be about as ready to go as someone could be coming back.

Look at his stats when he came back from the same injury but worst in 2021. I doubt there's anything to worry about considering it's not his first rodeo and it's not as bad this time around.

While his teammates were away on a road trip, CJ McCollum stayed behind in New Orleans and got a pair of practices in with the Squadron. McCollum will make his return tonight after missing 12 games.
