How many more young players do we have space for? And what are the odds we even hit on those picks in the first place?

We don’t value the players you can Draft it’s the flexibility that 1st round picks get you.

Tell me where i'm wrong?

Overpaying for the wrong fit can be disasterous, we dont know what is going out, but if it severely depletes our draft capital it is a risky deal. How is that an incorrect take???

If it's CJ for Hart, a protected first and seconds, we got a coup

But I will say, Josh said himself he was 100% set on leaving New Orleans this offseason, then ended up signing a weird "trade me" contract.

I think that had to do with the coaching situation rubbing him the wrong way. He seemed to be fine again. But he was always going to be a good trade piece with that contract. His play elevated his value even more. Gonna miss him for sure though

If we are actually only giving up Hart, picks, and salary filler than that is a great trade for us. Hart, Sato, and Kira is enough salary to get it done.

Josh has been so important this season because he added scoring and creation to his game. With the scoring and creation CJ brings Josh's offense will be less needed. So I don't think Hart would have kept having the same impact if we had kept him.

We have been bottom feeding team for the past 3 seasons. Now if we can't get over the hump, that speaks more about Ingram and Zion than anything else.

Draft capital is worth shite to me. We ain't drafting good enough to value those picks.

Fair. What are we thinking we can use the flexibility on? I'd think it's someone like CJ or someone younger like Fox (would take more picks for Fox though if I had to guess).

Don't get me wrong, if we're giving up more than 2 firsts, I'm melting. If it's 2 I'm kinda neutral. If it's just 1 first, I'm flapping.

Bright side to CJ is he's the president of the players union, that may carry a little weight with free agents that would be choosing between us or someone else.

He's said as much.

Covid + SVG made him hate basketball for the first time in his life but Willie and this group reignited that passion.

I imagine this is bittersweet for Hart.

hart is not enough salary (obviously).
sato HAS to be included, not optional

wild card is if theres any other player(s) and clearly the draft picks

still a chance this is an overpay

Are we shipping Graham out? We need some wing defenders all of a sudden

Y’all are ridiculous with this shite. Hart for an all-star caliber player in McCollum and a few draft picks that this franchise never hits on is amazing.

McCollum is a great fit with Zion and Ingram IMO.

You're the type that would have traded off our second rounders last year because in your words "draft picks are worth shite to me" and we'd all be watching Herb ball out on another team.

Probably praising the multiple picks for Adams because "at least Adams proved something."

How about though we see how this plays out first before pre-emptively bash/defend Griff?

Seems like they have to finalize pick protections more than likely

Also, the reports of the Blazers not wanting future money back mean they want to dump money. If they don't make a deal with the Pels now, they will be paying to dump CJ down the line.

This can't be said enough. CJ is a great fit, but we have all the leverage.

Hart has to be included, but sending out Hayes or multiple picks would be a complete failure.
