I'm done with the kumbaya shite. These are professionals and maybe it would wake some of them up.

frick this family shite

I want a locker room full of DAWGS

They dont need to be BFF's, they need to just respect one another.

We have enough CJ type leaders. Temple and Willie are that type too.

We need more Jose/Naji types. Those guys are great leaders but you need it from one of your stars.

Herb isn't that guy.

BI isn't that guy imo either.

Zion was actually showing a little bit before he got hurt, but that's TBD.

If Scoot IS that guy, then I could get behind a BI trade.

I hate the player, but this is the reason I would into Dillon Brooks, need more of that type of confidence.

Makes sense, though. Portland getting Zion to pair with Dame gives them the best chance in a "win now" scenario. Charlotte looking for a core piece to build around would prefer BI's dependability.

Jokic said he and his teammates find joy in playing for one another.

Kerr and Pop have preached about it for years.

I’d argue that leans more into “family shite” than whatever “dawgs” is supposed to mean.

The corner of the lockerroom that is BI Jose Herb Murph and Naji seem pretty tight.

Zion did a 360 dunk to get revenge on Phoenix.

Dillion Brooks is a dirty bitch who folded when shite got real. And he’s not really good.

At least suggest draymond.

Relax.

There’s a pretty good chance that there are going to be a lot of disappointed Blog Boys come Thursday.

It certainly *could happen* but I think the chances of it not happening are much higher, and the MMs of the world get worked up about the lack of a move.

Yea, I'm guessing some of the same Pels bros that tell everyone to calm down right now over reports and this has small odds of coming to fruition will be having some of the biggest freak outs if/when we stand pat on draft night and don't get Scoot.

I'd say the chances of something happening are very slim.

Griff will not sell Zion low and I doubt he wants to deal Ingram either.

The only way I could see it happening is if Griff calls Charlotte's bluff and fleeces them.

Charlotte ownership is stupid so it's possible.

Doubt anything happens with Portland.

Man it's hard to do right now. Wish Griff would just come out and shut down all the rumors. Not that that is style but It'd be nice.

Why do the Pels bloggers/podcast/beat writer guys have to be so bad? I could seriously punch Shamit and MM in the mouth. It's like they hate the team they cover.

All of this is probably true, but Griff also said that they need to hold each other accountable. That's where BI is lacking when it comes to leadership. They get along. Great. What about if someone screws up? Who is hold them accountable on the court?

The way the whole picture is playing out. I think the Pels are very willing to deal Zion for Scoot for multiple reasons that have already been discussed.

However, Charlotte reportedly doesn’t want Zion, they want Brandon. But, D Griffin and the entire Pels organization loves Brandon. And they aren’t going to trade Brandon.

So getting Scoot is kind of at the mercy of 2 things.

1) Charlotte has to 100% arrive at the conclusion that they don’t want to pair Scoot and Lamelo and would rather Draft Brandon Miller.

2) We also have to avoid other teams like Toronto, Washington, etc calling up Charlotte and offering them a trade package for #2 that they like more than Zion (bc they don’t want Zion)

The most natural trade partner we have for Zion is Portland for #3 more than Charlotte at #2. Bc they want to keep Dame and O Connor has just reported that they actually want Zion instead of Ingram.

So this whole thing really boils down to if we sweeten the deal enough for Charlotte to take Zion or if Scoot falls to #3. If he falls to #3, I really think Zion to Portland is a done deal.

There could be a way to do a 3 teamer between Charlotte, New Orleans and Portland that makes everyone happy. But the Charlotte part of this concerns me, bc they have a ton of options and suitors for the #2 pick.

Vs the Pels only having basically 1 suitor for Zion (Portland) bc we reportedly haven’t technically made him available to the entire league.

I don’t think we have to worry about Washington moving up.

They had shite before Beal and not much more after him.

Wizards roster -

KP (player option)
CP3 (not fully guaranteed yet)
Kuzma (player option)
Landry Shamet
Corey Kispert
Johnny Davis
Etc

A mix of people not under long term contract or of questionable value vs Scoot under contract for feasibly 7 seasons.

The Wizards’ own picks past this year are tied up until 2026 due to a previous trade, unless they split protections, as they have no actual firsts incoming but a lot of swaps with the Suns plus some seconds.

I hate to say it, but I actually agree with Jake Madison that we are more likely to trade back than trade up.

I'd personally like to see us trade back in exchange for an upgrade at the center position.

It doesn't have to involve sending Jonas out. It could just mean upgrading from Jaxson/Billy. The team's biggest need is just getting a third playable center.

We do need another big, preferably someone who can play either the 4 or the 5 depending on matchups and injuries.

I like Liddell as a prospect but I think it's sketchy to put all our eggs in the "he'll be a rotation level NBA player this year" basket.

You are probably right in terms of Washington and lack of assets.

I think I just saw they were interested so I included them.

It does feel like a team, like Orlando could potentially get in the Scoop mix if they wanted to. Perhaps the Utah Jazz as well.

Yea, Russillo threw out just a hypothetical of 6, 11, & Suggs. Seems if Scoot is the prospect I keep hearing(I don't follow college ball or the prospect game at all) then that would seem like a no brainer for Orlando to do, but not sure if Charlotte should for the same reasons going the other way.

Feels like that deal might work if nobody in Charlotte's front office has watched Jalen Suggs play the last two years. Otherwise...I'd expect that to get declined.
