Eh, he has a lot of versatility to his game, especially defensively.
Playing as a Stretch-4 late in the game for Denver. Knocked down a big 3-pointer, and he is playing real solid 1-on-1 defense on Harden the last few possessions.

I mean if we got rid of ryno possibly but what do we have the need for another PF that's not really a 3 either?
Cunningham has brought a lot too.

Well, I don't really look at positions.
I look at ability.
I look at ability.

the offense still runs through him when he's on the floor. Is that what we really want out of a guy we go out and acquire?
He co-existed pretty well on a team that included Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. I'd say those two are far more "offensive centric" than anyone on the Pelicans' roster.

Babbit can't keep you in front him.
Babbitt kept Carmelo and Lebron in front of him. A big part of that was scheme, but it resulted in wins.

That was so long ago he essentially was a different person.

Define "coexisted". They made 1 playoff appearance and lost in the 1st round during his tenure there. One year they won 23 games. And Westbrook was not the player he is now offensively. He didnt take the shots then that he does now. They dealt Green during Westbrook's breakout year for Kendrick Perkins and went to the Finals.
Even still, those Thunder teams had 3 guys shooting 10+ times a game while Green was there. They had no real offensives threats outside of Durant, Westbrook and Green. You look once they traded Green, Durant and Westbrook were shooting 20 times a game each, and the next closest guy shot 8 time per game. When you look at the Pels and we currently have 5 guys averaging 10+ FGA per.

Jeff Green is probably the 2nd most available Green to us, but I'd say he's the 4th most desirable Green.

I actually like Jeff green as a player. If we could swap holiday and evans for say him and rondo, I'd probably do it.

I can't stand Rondo but he is a good PG in the right system.
I can see him working out really well in Dallas. I think it wouldn't work out in Houston.

Rondo is about 4.5 years older than Jrue, and is almost certainly going to sign for more than $11m/yr.
If we knew Rondo would re-sign with us, I definitely would consider Reke/Ryno for Rondo/Green. Jrue is perfectly fine playing off ball, and Rondo, Jrue, AD, and Asik would have the makings of an excellent defensive team. All we'd be missing is a defensive minded coach.

Come on... When they won 23 games it was Durant and Green's 2nd season in the league and Westbrook's rookie season.
Green also had to play the 4 for the majority of his time in OKC because of Durant.
When they traded Green they were 32-17, but it was more relevant for the Thunder to have a valuable center rather than playing Nenad Krstic, Nazr Mohammad, and Nick Collison.
I'm not saying that Green is the answer, but the Pelicans are actually in a similar situation where a strong SF could put them over the top.

Durant was shooting 20 time a game anyway. Westbrook's shot attempts actually decreased in the Reg season when Green left. He didn't average 20 until the playoffs and he shot less than 40% from the field. They were also able to get away with getting rid of Green because they had James Harden who averaged right around 10 shots per game and Serge Ibaka who averaged about 9 per game once Green left.
The Pelicans have 4 guys shooting between 13-17 times per game and the next closest (not counting Gordon at 9) is Austin Rivers at 6.2 attempts per game. As long as those 4 guys are making about 47% of their shots and about 35% of their 3s I don't see the problem with spreading the shots around.
