I think we pivot from our philosophy of going with upside and choose Butler or Murphy.

sharp shooter who can get his own shot like Cam Thomas

These two things do not go together from what we currently know and have seen

He definitely could become a great shooter, but so can Bouknight, or Keon Johnson, or Zhaire Williams. Calling him a sharp shooter is just speculating that he will drastically improve his efficiency

I think money is the reason why not both and why it's probably Shamet instead of Ingles. I haven't dug too far into the different Memphis Trade Expansion scenarios, but I don't think you can get Lowry + Lonzo or Brogdon for Lonzo swap and still add another salary like Ingles.

Ingles would seem like a plan C or D to me so I don't think they'd lock into that on Draft Night. Shamet can fit in the Melli trade exception so it wouldn't impact the main plan.

If it's true that Atlanta is looking to trade Reddish for a first round pick, I'll make that trade in a heart beat. Size, length, defense, and shooting.

If we bring in Ingles, it's likely that we'd have to send out Lonzo as part of the expanded Memphis trade to bring in Lowry. Ingles makes 13 mil, which only allows us to bring in 17 mil in the Memphis trade, but we can send out Lonzo who adds another 11 mil, which would possibly be enough to bring Lowry in at 28 mil.

I think Shamet makes the most sense, as you stated because he fits into the Melli trade exception.

Well the Pelicans didn’t work out that many players, so we can guess that their plan is probably Davion Mitchell, Corey Kispert, Chris Duarte, or Jaden Springer at 17. *And if you believe Hollinger, you can add Trey Murphy too even though he isn’t confirmed to have worked out.

If all off the board, trade down with Houston and take one of Josh Primo or Quentin Grimes at 23/24.

JT Thor or Austin Reaves in the 2nd. Trade the remaining 2nds.

I like all of those players a lot more at 17 than I did at 10. I’ll predict that we walk away with Murphy, Grimes, and Landry Shamit. I think that’s a realistic best case scenario.

You do realize that free agency does t start until after the draft right? Making your scenario pretty much impossible.
