I didn’t mean for us, I meant they got a very good, ascending young player to build around at the 4. They needed a young wing to go with their young backcourt of Scoot and Simons.

I mean did you really think that dude has any say in anything? The dude hasn’t worked anywhere else but the pelicans. Great that hes worked his way up but he brings absolutely no outside experience.

We have nothing good to look forward to while Griff is in charge.

Used car dealer. I thought he was a good hire too, obviously wrong.

I'm fine with keeping Ingram, despite the animosity most feel. 3 other things have to occur:

1. He cannot cost max money and it's more of a 2 year extension with 2 years of team options.
2. We HAVE to upgrade at pg or center. Who cares figure out how to get Kessler, Allen, garland, murray, etc.
3. I have love for Cj, but he needs to be moved.

You can exist with Ingram and zion, but what unlocks them is a true point guard to help navigate and break down defenses to optimize them. Cj doesn't fit this team any more. Move on from him now with value.

Everyone bitches about Griff but he’s actually built a solid team. We’ve never had this much depth on a roster. The closest was when we had bonzi wells off the bench during the cp3 era. Not saying griff is great but you can’t say he hasn’t tried to put a talented team.

It's easy to build a team from your couch in a vacuum where your star player doesn't miss 20-30 games a season and your team doesn't play in the armpit of the USA

LOL.

Translation: Barnes and Huerter was the best offer we got.

We are going be bottom dwellers if we run it back. Our soft sports reporters here in south Louisiana will not hold Griff accountable for running this franchise in the ground. This shite is pathetic

Which is the right decision unless there is a clear upgrade. Trae Young is not that as much as everyone wants to believe he is. The team would be much better off adding a quality starting PG next to Zion and BI, but I have talked myself into a tizzy over it.

Y'all are ridiculous. We weren't bottom dwellers last year by any means. In fact, when BI and Zion were both healthy and in shape, this team was very good. Injuries hit at the absolute worst time, though. We learned that BI isn't Batman in the playoffs, but it's absurd to sit here and treat him like Howard the Duck.

If I'm Murphy and they keep/resign Ingram, I wouldn't sign an extension and I would request a trade. He's ready to be a starter and a top 3 guy on a squad. I would want my own spot. It's time. Waiting only serves us (maybe)..

I wish I was as confident in Trey as you all are. He is still fairly one-dimensional, although his defense did improve some late. That said, he had a chance to shine in the playoffs when the Thunder keyed on BI, but nobody stepped up. Not CJ. Not Murphy.

I’ll say this, if they truly aren’t getting any good offers for BI then that’s an indictment on BI, on Griff, on Willie, on everyone in that building. Teams should be lining up to trade for a 26 year old Brandon Ingram and signing him to a max deal. I would hope if that’s the case they all look in the mirror and say we are doing something really wrong here.

It’s the new tax rules. Bobby Marks said something yesterday along the lines of “the days of 3 max guys on a team are over.” The poor fit with Zion makes you question if BI is a legit #2. If he isn’t you can’t give him max money.

Sounds like they tried to trade him and are now pivoting.

I am choosing to believe they didn’t get the offer for BI they thought, so they’re gonna roll into the season and are still open to trading him before the deadline if he can pick his value up.

That or he really is committed to changing his style of play. Anything other than those two and this next season is going to get really frustrating.
