Even more reason to trade.

Trade EG & RA for assets could be allow us to trade anybody not named AD for the first pick, if we don't win the lottery.

If we are in contention, then hell no.

Bill Simmons' son's name is Ben Simmons, interestingly enough.

There is zero chance we're trading assets not named AD for Ben Simmons. No team bad enough to get him will ever give him up.

Trading Gordon and Anderson for the chase of the unlikely first pick is beyond retarded.

Bill Simmons will be a Laker, bank it. The NBA is not going to let it's most valuable franchise go without a star and without being legitimate. Simmons is going to the Lakers, and anyone thinking otherwise is kidding themselves.

I don't want to see him on the sixers because that franchise is a joke and has other goals besides winning. The lakers are the only other shite arse team I could see him winding up playing for.

He would look sweet in a lakers uniform but I would not look forward to having to play him. Saying that I would rather him go to Philly before LA but those are really the only 2 teams I could see getting him.

Cleveland got 3 #1's in 4 years. Either Dan Gilbert has some serious dirt on other owners or it isn't rigged.

Problem with tanking this year is that its a 1 star player draft.

Its Simmons or bust.

Skal or Jaylen Brown would fit nicely on this team. Ingram or Murray would not be bad either.

Top 10 is pretty loaded

At the same time, I don't think people realize the lengths it takes to go to to tank. You need to frick the roster up pretty seriously over the course of a year or two, to where you're team is just so bad and dysfunctional losing becomes 2nd nature

A healthy AD makes tanking almost impossible

as long as AD is healthy, there should be no tanking.

AD alone almost beat the Jazz Saturday night. If the team just played remotely mediocre, they may have won that game.

Yup. Lots of intriguing guys there.

If Davis is healthy, they will not be bad enough to "compete" with the Sixers, Lakers, and Nets. Same time, with Pels injury luck and the number of teams that will appear to be sniffing .500 in both conferences, a top 10 pick seems like a fairly realistic possibility.

They're going to have to go on a 52 win pace just to hit 44 wins. Even among Pelicans fans, 52 wins was on the more optimistic side of preseason predictions.

I would love to trade Ryan now that he's on his usual early season hot streak. His value is highest right now.
Let's not Wait til he starts cooling off and his glaring weakness on defense is all we talk about.
