Conflicted on ditching Zion, on one hand we know this guy is a top 5 player if he could be an actual professional but on the other hand between him being a big, dumb baby and this organization constantly afraid to hurt his feelings to truly hold him accountable it’s maybe just a terrible marriage and this is now our best out before it really bottoms out

Not sure where you get this from, Scoot is solidly the 2nd best prospect in this draft, he’s only mocked at 3 because Charlotte doesn’t have a role for him.
Any other draft Scoot is going #1, even over guys like Morant, Ant Edwards etc.

Zion went to my favorite men’s basketball program, plays a lot like some of my favorite growing up and is on my local team. I’d love it if he succeeded here. But he hasn’t expanded his game so far…or maybe he has and he’s been too injured to see it(and Ingrams injuries have not allowed him to showcase his non ball handling game)
But it’s the locker room, off court stuff that’s the red flags. I am on team run it back. At least until the deadline.

Ummm Brandon Miller has been projected at 2 for months, from big boards such as The Ringer. So I don’t know what you’re talking about.
ETA: just to solidify my point here ESPN has Miller as #2 on their big board/best available as well.
Scoot has a hype machine around him because he’s a brash guy. Not that it’s negative, but “Top 15 player in the league” utter bullshite being thrown around on this board is insane.

Dyson wouldn’t have a role on this team if you’re keeping Ingram and Zion and getting Scoot, and Herb is the cost of doing business to get Sharpe who actually is a decent defender and one of the most athletic dudes in the NBA, not to mention you relieve yourself of the deliberation of whether to give Herb 15 million or so a year.

Zion and BI are both worth multiple FRP’s in a trade and a couple pick swaps .
The Pelicans will not sacrifice one of their star players to move up in this draft.
Scoot wants to be in NOLA and the Pelicans would love to have him but by no means is the team ready to hit reset on the roster’s core.

I get these statements you make but can you provide some reasoning?
Im not going to talk about a core with health issues, not making playoffs and financial concerns which everyone has talked about for a week.
If the pelicans werent interested these rumors would be long gone. This isnt just some made of BS. It just depends whether they pull the trigger.

I’m with you…it got out that pels wanted to get scoot…media adds that they think it’d take bookoo..and it took off from there…if z or bi were available then why hasn’t trade been made…”insiders” continue to say offer has never been made….meaning pels prolly just lookin to see what it’d take and have left it alone since then while media has Their fun knowing everyone wants to hear about Zion…if nothing else, Zion still good for some clickbait

You do realize all this stuff is smokescreen right? Just because pels may have put either those guys in offers doesn’t mean they agreed to a trade. This whole media conspiracy theory is silly man. All of these nba teams, including pels, use the media to get an advantage in trades. They do this every year and some trades happen and some dont. Its just this year its with Zion and pels- and people are like oh its media clickbait because its dealing with a pels superstar lol

Insiders, like woj, continue to say offer has never been made.. and they are interested in scoot. Where’s the smokescreen with kristops trade…that isn’t even finalized.
I will say there is a combo of both smokescreen (predraft) and media bullshite (year round). But sayin there’s been no offers isn’t smokescreen talk…
That can only mean ples haven’t offered what it would cost. U kinda twisted my previous post.ppl want to hear about Zion so let’s find something to talk about it, make it something ppl will click after show when they get the notification from espn or bleacher report on their phone. That is a year round struggle

You do realize you can have a discussion without making an offer right? For the pels, I think they might wait on the hornets to see what they do before making an offer to blazers. Plus in all likelihood they dont want to leak if an offer was made. There was ton of smoke with the KP trade. They even said blazers were interested at one point. There’s smoke in every trade and that was a trade for current players not draft picks- very different when you dont know who will be drafted where.

Yea if course but so are you by assuming Woj hasnt been lied to. See last years draft when Woj got the first pick wrong. Majority of this is rumors, assumptions, smoke, etc. its drama lol
