Thing with José this game is if he's gonna be guarding CP he's going to have to be ready for a long night. CP may have lost a step but he still is extremely smart and crafty and a little dirty. He's gonna rib shot José every chance he gets

Chris Paul has been mediocre at best when he's played this year, so I fully expect him to make like 14 of 16 shots and have 15 assists tonight.

Great time to see what Dyson can do on defense vs TWO very different but efficient styles of offense. Let him guard CP3 half the time & Booker, the other half. You'll get a decent idea how he can handle the screens when guarding CP3...and how he can handle a very solid one on one offensive player, when guarding Booker. JMO...that's what the regular season SHOULD be for...a chance to learn what certain guys CAN do...and what they CAN'T do. Then, by playoff time...you're ready to roll.

I don't think CP3 needs that much defensive attention. CJ and Jose assuming he plays should be enough. Dyson needs to be on Booker all night. He's the guy we need to stop without having to send too much help his way.

Probably right...but eventually we would like to know if Dyson is better defensively vs a "CP3" or a "Booker". Then, when Herb returns and come playoff time...we have both of them in there at crunch time...we'll know the best way to use the two of them...vs CP3 and Booker.

I think we've already figured out during last years playoff vs the Suns...that Herb is VERY efficient vs Booker's one on one...and our best option also vs CP3, although not quite as efficient, given all the opportunities they have to create room for CP3 by using all those screens. Dyson MAY be equally effective vs either style or very good vs one & not so good, vs the other....but I'd just like to go ahead and find out as soon as possible, and decide on our best course of action, with those two vs the Suns. We're probably gonna see these Suns come playoff time...with hopefully Herb AND Dyson on the court at crunch time...

Christian Clark: Pelicans have recalled Kira Lewis Jr. from the Squadron. He will be available tonight.

Hope it’s not a sign Jose will be out.

I saw one of the bloggers/podcasters mention that the Squadron didn't have a game until next week, so he's probably just being brought back to get more work with the team in.
