So that adds up to roughly $7.4 Billion per year. The current deal averages $2.7 Billion per year. A difference of $4.7 Billion per year. Divided by 30 teams with half going to teams and half going to players, that's $78 million per year to the salary cap and $78 million per year to team owners.

Cap smoothing will keep that from hitting all at once, but that is on top of current revenues. There are no more poverty franchises with this kind of influx of cash. There is no excuse to avoid the tax if you have a top 10 team.

Not to mention that the new valuations of teams will come, and the NBA will directly follow that up by creating 2 new teams and the owners will get an influx of cash from the buyers of the new teams. This new TV deal should probably double the value of teams, Even if you go by the least valuable team that is around 2.5 billion, the new teams will probably sell for 5 billion or so each. You're looking at each owner getting 300 million+ from the creation of the 2 new teams.

God damn. The benson's bought the pels for like 300M. It's worth $2.6B right now according to forbes and probably will go even higher with this TV deal.

Talk about a good investment, Gayle hasn't even been able to put a good product on the court and she's made billions. Imagine how much more she could make if we were any good

TNT Crew in return for Roundball Rock seems like a fair trade.

2024-25: $142 cap
25-26: $156.2
26-27: $171.82
27-28: $189
28-29: $207.9
29-30: $228.6

A supermax (35% of cap) would be 80 million in 2030. Realistically salaries cannot get over 100 million a year until the 32-33 or 33-34 season at the earliest

Thank God the PA didn't let that moron Michelle Roberts talk them into opposing cap smoothing again.

Opposing cap smoothing was mainly Chris Paul’s thing I thought.

Lets be honest Gayle’s real investment was seducing old man Benson, marrying him, and convincing him to leave everything to her.

lol …. I can get behind Wilbon talking baseball, but SAS/Wilbon on basketball is blasphemous.
