he's getting another chance.

he's got 100s of millions in clothing shoes and drinks advertising.
i think around 400 million.
he will lose it all of he goes down the thug rabbit hole.
i think we see choir boy the rest of his career.
apparently the team had already asked him months ago to cut out the flexing and just play ball.

i had hoped they would deal Brooks. bad company.

and they moved Green. he could have been the adult in the room.

It was only a mistake due to the injuries. He was the pick and you could not pass up that pick.

he can't shoot.

I'd like to see him play at 230 though.

This was part of my concern over him. I didn't think his bully ball style would work in the NBA, but I was wrong on that. I also figured he'd get hurt if he stayed at that size. Either way his game would change fundamentally, and I had skepticism about that transition.

I never guessed he would have picked to stay fat and hurt.

Drafting him was the right call. No one has a crystal ball to tell them otherwise. The fact that when he is healthy he dominates on the court makes it not so cut and dry

Not sure where you’re getting this from, Ja Morant is rich but nothing close to 400 million dollars rich. That’s about what Chris Paul’s net worth is and he’s the 2nd richest nba player behind LeBron.

I don't understand this logic. There were many naysayers that questioned his style, size and health/duration. Now that they are being proved mostly right, we can't give them their props and admit they were right?

They are correct on his health for sure. When he is healthy and playing the dude dominates. Both can he correct

I would love to go back in time to see us with the first pick and not choose Zion. The melt would have been terrific

Since Pels ownership also owns the Saints, any chance he could switch teams? He is built more for football and would be a wrecking machine at DE and unstoppable at TE. I think his injury issues go away on the football field as his injuries are more related to a man too big for the basketball court.

At the time of the draft, no.

Now, yea we done f’d up. I’m now convinced he just doesn’t have the frame to withstand a full nba season on the body and never will. If a reasonable trade offer is offered, you do it in a heartbeat.

On the bright side, ja looks like a total head case. Who would have thought garland was the best pick of that draft class as far as talent and availability.

All of these hindsight responses lack imagination. If you really look back, knowing what we know now, you aren't just drafting Garland at 4. That doesn't really solve anything. You go full on redraft which changes the whole course of the NBA.

Starting that summer. You complete the Davis trade. You resign Randle. You take the godfather deal from the Knicks for the 1st pick. We take Garland at 3. We still do the trade with the Hawks, then draft Herro and Poole. We trade Ball to the Bulls for their pick and draft Cam Johnson. We go into the season with Holiday, Ingram and Randle. But we can flip them at the deadline. 2020 draft we get Edwards with capital we get from Ingram and Holiday. We walk into the stacked 2021 draft with tons of picks and cap space. We somehow get Mobley.

That is how hindsight works. You really change up everything. It's not just one just one different move fixes everything..
