About This Team Long Term

I'm not sure I have anything to say other than the fact that I've had it. I really want to have some reason to get excited about a team for which I bought season tickets the first day it arrived.
I can still make a somewhat rational argument for giving Dell and Monty another season, but, frick it, I'm ready to see an complete shake up of the operation.
The one possibly positive note for us is that Benson has the financial ability and the life expectancy motivation (sad, but true) to make very bold moves.
The other positive is that we do have a superstar at PF, a solid point guard, a deadly three point shooter at stretch forward and some talent among the rest (albeit with shitty contracts mucking up the works). Please, someone, do something soon.

I'm with you brother I told a friend after we lost to the Knicks I'll give it one more game then after the Bobcats loss I was done...didn't watch the Wizards game and glad I didn't
For right now pretty much the only thing Pelicans related I can stand is being on here to share my frustration with other fans...I can't watch another game and don't plan on it for a while
For as awesome as it is to watch AD grow into a superstar I can't take watching Monty frick up every game with Roberts doing boneheaded things, EG not being able to close against anyone, and Reke who is our only "star" left with AD get less than 25 mins a game

Of course not. I'll probably renew as long as there's a team here. I enjoy NBA games in person and I want to support the local franchise.

i wish i still lived in NOLA. as long as AD is on the team, there's no way in hell i'd give up season tickets.

You and VOR have a fun time NOT watching the Pelicans offensive frick fest next season.

If this team could bring in a legit 5 I think they could easily be a top 6 seed in the near future. Move Gordon and/or Tyreke and tank for a top 5 pick

Monty has to go. I think 95% of fans would agree with that.
But I saw all I need to out of this team this season, in regards to future play.
The high pick and roll is going to be unstoppable with Jrue and Davis.
Ryno being able to consistently drain wing jumpers is going to open this up.
We all know what Davis can do around the rim, and his jumper for the pick and pop is becoming just as effective.
As for Jrue, he's good enough to finish at the rim, as well hit pull ups in the lane and 17 footers.
Need to find another wing that can score without having to have his hands on the ball - someone who knows when to cut to the rim for easy lay ins and put backs.
I don't think Reke nor EJ fit in with this group at all. That's my opinion.
But, like I said, with AD, Jrue and Ryno, the high pick and roll is going to be devastating for years to come.

I'm not sure your posts makes sense if it's a response to my post about season tickets.

My only worry is that Avery will get the job if Benson fires Monty.
