I think he was just pulling a destination out of his arse to say “NBA Siberia”. Despite, you know, the Kings being in better shape than the Lakers despite LeBron being in LA.

This is basically what you are telling me. Those players, that were the greatest players in the world at that time would no longer be the best players in the world anymore. Other guys, that for some reason weren't featured or in the league would have replaced them and those would be the best players in the world. Right?

Rules of the league have changed, strategy has evolved.

It’s like chess. Just because Fisher was a grandmaster in the 1970s doesn’t mean he would be able to be Garry Kasparov today, let alone Deep Blue, if he were alive and active today.

Gotcha.

Although I must say, that potential scenario would (at least to me) make dealing with the Lakers much more palatable.

It’s not Beal, but arguably meets our needs from a basketball, culture and team-building standpoint.

Buddy would certainly help with spacing the floor.

Their owner desperately wanted Buddy from the start, which is partly why they went through with the Cousins trade. Don’t see how he sends him back now that he is developing.

In hindsight, sure. But you make that trade 100% of the time. Demps actually held out and got the Boogie compensation lowered by a 1st round pick.

You have to have 3pt shooting with changes zone defense rules over the last 20 years.
