Nah ppl just don’t want to help add to the lakers titles…

That’s why Pop has gone on to say numerous times he will never trade with the Lakers… then you can insert this recent one with the Nets etc.

Yankees have these problems as well in making trades… over pay or nah, we’ll take less from other teams and continue to watch you scramble.

That’s why they need to build through FA vs trade.

It is a mix of LeBron pushing for Westbrook and Klutch pissing off the entire league with hardball horseshite.

That is not the reason. They want to win by using underhanded ways of getting players.

How about they try drafting and nurturing players and win organically?

Why would any NBA team WANT to give into the Lakers and especially LeGM who pretty much wants everything given to him as if he has earned the right to be given NBA titles!!

He is a joke. His 2023 emotional breakdown and imminent giving up on his team is soon in coming. Good riddance.

Lakers have arguably been one of the best drafting teams of the last decade

Unfortunately they traded everyone away to keep one guy happy

Toni Davis and Harden caused this..

For years players were able to demand a trade, get media backup because "they want to go to a contender", and then behind the scenes, dictate the exact place they want to go.

Now teams seem to be going out of their way to purposely avoid the player's "preferred destination", especially when it's the Lakers

It depends on the player. We were very happy to help Jrue get to a contender, because Jrue had done so much for the franchise and the city. He deserved the opportunity to win a ring.

That's a very different story for Kyrie. He never did a single thing for the Nets other than screw them over repeatedly. He's not a guy who deserves to have any say-so in where he goes.

The Lakers organization is as delusional as their fans. They don’t have jack shite for trade assets

I would hate if Lakers could pull this off

Why? I’m not sure it helps them much. Westbrook has played well. Harris is meh and has another year at almost $40 million so they’d be locked into that shitty roster

Averaging 16 PPG on 38% from the 3. He’s definitely an improvement over Westbrook for them. Same for Kork, he’s a streaky shooter but he can shoot.

That makes them a better team than they are currently, and especially if it can happen without them giving up both picks.

Almost would assume some sort of buyout situation on Russ with the pistons if this went down.

Really like that move for Philly.

Not sure the Pistons bother with a buyout.

Westbrook’s on an expiring deal and the Pistons are the worst team in the league. He may be willing to sit in order to get all his money rather than take a buyout and do a “prove it” deal with someone.

Because it's a lopsided trade clearly in their favor. That's also why it's a bullshite tweet. In trade talks means the Lakers called the Pistons with a laughable offer and the Pistons said (talked) "bye."

TRADE TALKS!

I love how they added "LA doesn't want to give up firsts" while proposing a trade that would absolutely require the Lakers to give up unprotected firsts.

What do Pistons get out of that deal? Picks from Philly?

I would assume picks from the Lakers because the Sixers don’t have shite. They sent their out in a previous trade and are tied up through 2027.

Do you seriously think the Lakers had a better trade offer than the Mavericks? I know it's maybe hard for Lakers fans to wrap their head around, but you actually need to have a better offer than the team your bidding against. They didn't get him because their assets are crap, not because somebody didn't want to trade with them.

It comes down to what the Nets’ aims were and what package fit that.

What we offered Portland for CJ was shite to most people but they took it because it cleared a ton of future salary while likely getting an extra first rounder.

Are DFS and Dinwiddie great pieces? No. But they do a lot fricking more for Brooklyn than trading Kyrie and someone else for Westbrook.
