Full L2M report, not just in close games, Lakers legit get the benefit more than any other team in the league:

If LeBron plays tonight. Will he Saturday?? Will his points tonight dictate whether or not he plays Saturday? Interesting next couple of days…

All of these “greats” plan a lot and they line things up because it’s all within their control… will be very interesting.

My guess is that he sits tonight, plays Saturday since the ESPN news came out about the game time etc Saturday. I could be wrong but…

It would be hilarious that Lebron had the mother of all meltdowns over a missed call because he knows how important that win was for their playoff chances only to sit out 2 of the next 4 games, with 1 being just to ensure he breaks a record in Los Angeles.

I’m sure this has been brought up before but MLB once out their foot down on the Braves sitting Hank Aaron for a road series so he could break Babe Ruth’s HR record in Atlanta.

They forced the Braves to play him in 2 of 3 games, which didn’t produce the record HR.

HR record is more “by chance” than scoring points in an NBA game. LeBron’s health (if he had some sort of REAL injury), would be the only thing preventing him from “scheduling” when he would like to break the record.

Sierra Canyon final game tomorrow night? Looked up their schedule and last “scheduled” game is Feb 3… wonder if Bron plays tonight then flys back to early and skips the weekend in Nola.

Buddy misses the final shot and the Lakers win by one. +13 in the 4th quarter as the Pacers choke the game away

WHAT A WIN!!!

Russ has to go. This team is trash but he’s another level of terrible.

I apologize for posting here. I’m excited and did not expect that comeback. There’s nowhere else to post and I’m not going to make a thread on the MSB about it. I’d love to see Lebron at least get a play in game to see how he responds. I’m a big fan of his.

I hope y’all get healthy and do your thing.

That's exactly what the L2M does, yes for every single game.

James is 63 points from breaking the record. He is definitely going for it against us. I actually think he has a good chance to do it. His career high in a game is 61. So, it's not likely. But I remember David Robinson going for 71 the last game of a season to win the scoring title. It's possible when the whole team sells out (on both sides)..

Why would he do that in NOLA, when he can do it in LA against the Thunder?

Cause it's Saturday night in prime time. He is the talk of the weekend and they still celebrate the next game in LA. I think he'd rather get it of the way, so it's not hanging out there.

Like I said, it's not likely. But we are really bad and if he sees the opportunity, why not go for it? It's a better story against us in a monster game.

Plus if he goes low against us, there is a chance he might not do it against OKC. Let's say he gets 28 and shuts it down. Now he needs 35. What if he has a bad shooting night or tweeks something? They have this huge celebration set up and have to postpone.

It's better to get it as soon as possible..

Nah.

Wishful thinking tho…

Ideally he would like to make it occur in the 1st half of a game and not deep into a game. So for him to get it vs the Pels (not us), it would have to occur late 4th or in OT…. With a lot of over shooting in an environment that is disgruntled because of 1. The Lakers, 2. How their team is performing. Why break a record that will never be broken again in front a fan base that won’t understand the magnitude of what is occurring? If he does play he will score in the 20-30 range… with the scoring title within reach for the Tuesday night game…. Where all eyes can truly be on him, center stage… in front his fam and in a building that has seen so many other historic achievements.

I could see a 20/20/20 approach taken and it occur next Thurs in the 1st Q vs the Bucks, but it will be interesting.

Regardless, will be a historic accomplishment that we will not see in our lifetime again.
