I’ll believe it when I see it

Will LeBron play today...or not? I'm sure he has a plan on when he wants to break the record...either Tuesday vs the Thunder or Thursday vs the Bucks. Needs 63 points, at the moment.
I have a strong feelin'...no matter what...that the Pels will win today.

Why does he have to or want to break it at home?
If he breaks it on NO, it is a huge story and he gets massive props for pouring in 63+, even against a depleted NO squad. He can go all out and hold nothing back, so he can focus on the stretch run. He will get a celebration when he returns home in LA. They can do the event pre-game with nothing hanging over his head.
That is the ideal situation to me. I don't see him sitting out against us or intentionally going low. He's going to pour it in to ensure a win. If he's got 40+ in the 3rd quarter and the game is somewhat close, what do you think he does?

There’s definitely different ways that he can target it.
20/20/20 style
40/20 style
25/25/10 style
Obv I’m rounding here since he needs 63, but I don’t see him “killing” himself to do anything crazy.
People eliminate what they likely already have planned at home etc for him to break it… also there has been plenty of talk about “celebrating” the accomplishment during the All-Star break.
He’ll get it, when he wants it, how he wants it… simple as that.

Side bar,
I do remember witnessing Kobe score 30k in Nola.
Memorable night for sure.

Well...for one thing, Jabbar and a whole bunch of celebrities are scheduled to be in attendance for his home games in LA. It's kind of a big deal out there...with quite a bit of planning...and I doubt Kareem will be in attendance later on today...so I'm goin' out on a limb and say ...no 63 points for LeBron at the Blender. If he had 62 at halftime...he wouldn't play in the 2nd half. Trust me.

There’s pessimism that the Lakers will trade for Kyrie Irving because of Kyrie’s contract demands, per @DanWoikeSports “Irving is expected to seek a four-year maximum contract, with the Lakers preferring a two-year deal, aligning with the two years remaining on James' deal.”

Flash forward to now, with Irving again requesting a trade from Brooklyn a week before the Feb. 9 deadline. Not only have the Clippers made a strong offer to the Nets for Irving, but Lue is also ready to reunite with his former player, league sources who were granted anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the subject tell The Athletic.
Lebron would be sick

Always wondered this. Do they just not care that they could get fired if they are found out?

I would love it if they didn’t trade for Kyrie, AD gets another injury and then Lebron just decides to shut it down the rest of the season after ASB

Obviously Kyrie makes them better and with owning their picks the next 2-3 seasons, i don't want that to happen but..
This idea that so many are throwing out that this team that won 33 games last season and is the 13 seed this season, I'm hearing folks say if they get Kyrie they are now a contender to win the West. That shite is laughable. I guess Kyrie is all of a sudden a top 3 NBA player to take a team from 13 seed to best in the West.

They may not be the favorites, but it surely does make them contenders.
shite on Kyrie, but he fills what LAL are missing
1. Can get his own shot
2. Facilitator
3. Spacing
4. A not-negative defender
Think of it this way: LeBron, Toni, and thomas bryant are the 3 players with a positive BPM on their team. Adding Kyrie to replace Westbrook's minutes is a positive thing which means its a bad thing for us.
